There is no reason to believe this car didn't fall on it face toward the end of this run!
Yup...GM spent a ton of time and money flying to Europe with their team having no idea what it takes to run a fast ring time...you know, because they've never been there before. Lol. Yup and they had no idea what (if any) issues might arise in a car they had been developing for years...makes sense.

... almost as much sense as running a good lap, announcing they did and then not disclosing the time?
I've been here over 15 years. I've written how-to articles, testing articles, track tests and results, and gave years of racing and modification advice. For the C7Z alone, I've done performance testing and articles, as well as dyno testing and dispelling heat soak rumors.
I don't attack people here. I don't even bash Corvettes. I may bring up some data that I disagree with, and challenge, but I keep it factual whenever possible. You, on the other hand, only serve as the protector of the C7Z universe, with your sidekick GP. Neither of which actually owns, or has ever owned, a Corvette with their name on the title.
You called a guy out for not owning a particular Corvette. I brought the same question to you. What is the difference? My Dad owns a Harley Davidson, but I don't claim it as my own. I'll bet the guy you called out has owned more Corvettes than you personally have. And, so have I.
I like Snorman too. I've known him online since maybe 1996 or 1998? He doesn't need your blessing, he earns his own respect online.
Now you brought someone else that I have no idea who he is. You are a weird guy. Attacking the C7 Z owners yet pretending to be here under different agenda. I could care less what you or your dad owns. All that matters is you don't own a C7 Corvette. Most of the clowns @ this section don't. I was also curious..having owned multiple pre C7 Vettes means what? Are you looking for free lunch or something around here?
My, you sure are proud of Daddy's garage. Just another rich kid spoiled brat, who thinks he knows everything. Haha
Also, please find an example of where I am attacking C7Z owners. You won't. You won't even see me trashing the car. At the most, I've only discussed some performance issues, and questioned this silly Nurburgring lack of results stuff.

Maybe, maybe not...We won't know if it was a stroke of genius or pure marketing stupidity until they announce it...Maybe they did it on purpose with cause, or maybe they completely dropped the ball.
If the time is impressive, the waiting won't matter...but I'm sure you'll still find something wrong with it.

All current evidence shows 60 degrees or not the car very well may have fallen on its face, just like the ZR1 seemed too, but, worse!
I will be happy to be wrong, and like Nineball see this story end!

My primary objection to this story is not the lap time as I expect it will be better than the ZR1, but that the Chief Corvette engineer reported about 10 months ago of a very good lap, to be reported "soon" and then to have no report from GM. Their decision to not release it "soon" reflects very badly on Tadge, who has gone above and beyond to work with this forum and other enthusiasts.
172 posts. Almost every one of them attacking the C7 Z or its owners.
Please... keep on going. I'm having fun..
People can say much the same about your post history which is a bunch of ROFL's and asking people questions so they can step into your little ring of bs and debate.
You think because you own a Stingray is entitles you any more or any less to this conversation? Some people on here have given more to the Corvette brand and enthusiast base than you ever will. All you do is come here to be a douche and start arguments based upon your post history. I looked through 10 pages and didn't see one constructive comment that amounted to anything more that you blowin bandwidth out IB's anus like it just dined at a DairyQueen/Taco Bell kiosk.
If "enthusiasts" (using that word VERY loosely) like yourself have a right to be here, then by GOD even the random guy driving a Dodge Dart does.

I think somebody had mentioned (maybe it was JVP) that Tadge spoke out too soon, and whether or not the time would be released hadn't been cleared with GM. So it's out of his hands....... I hold nothing against Tadge himself, but he should at least comment on why it hasn't been released yet. I'm hopeful we'll hear something at the next event, but I'm not holding my breath.

It was mid teens and not all that exciting. Probably acceptable, but, not really knocking down the GTR. This is what I originally thought it would be and it would make Tadge basically right, but, absolutely not make all this much ado about it!
We have to blame ourselves. Don't buy the F-ing car if it really does overheat too much, and don't give this all this Free fanfare for NOthing!

Just.... wow. Will enjoy this section when there is a c8 section and people who strap a bowtie over their own ***** to feel good about themselves move on.
