What a great car and a true special edition!

One thing I didn't like was gm putting out a special edition only to make every option neat thing regular equipment on the next year.

Interesting that we all have the blacked out mirrors. When I originally saw the dealer photos I did not like them...but once I saw them in person with the blacked out badging and spoiler it really clicked.

Really sad to see this combo go, but so glad I found one.

The CF mirrors REALLY add to the looks, these DSOM/Black combo's are killers!

Eh.... I don't like the black mirrors, especially when you have to pay extra. Dumb idea.

I have had plenty of cars and one of the classic symbols that designates a base model is I painted side mirrors, and it reminds me of that. Tacky. My opinion.

I get where you are coming from, but I'm glad I don't have that baggage. It works in person.

Eh, not for me. Seen it, still do t approve. Contrary to opinion here, not everything should be blacked out or accented. It has to flow right, and the mirrors just do not when black. Looks like an afterthought, and a bad one.

Black mirrors look amazing on this car....says the countless views, comments and reposts from dozens of car sites for this pic alone... Didn't think that anyone's approval was necessary.

Totally understand that everyone has a view but never could understand someone reposting as if what they wrote wasn't read the first time. Hate to break it to ya big guy but the mirrors truly set the look and match the carbon flash accents very well on this car. I might have thought totally different if I went with the silver designated base model rims, but with Spectra or black...it sets it just right.

Yours is DSOM isn't it? Post up!

I continued to post because he refuted my post in saying I should see it in person. It's a conversation, it goes back and forth, as in this.

And I stated another example as to why I didn't like it. Personally.

You can have a picture reposted all over, and just because that is so, doesn't mean everyone is liking that one aspect of said picture, when not ever stated in comparison to the difference. There is no logic there. It just means people liked the picture. And I have to on my devices as well, it's a great picture.

And even if so, just because so many people if asked would say they like it, I still don't. I'm not a lemming that changes my mind with popular opinion lol.

I took it as such. Gorgeous looking ride. I love the Kahlahari interior. My trade had that interior and that was the one thing I was sad to see go.

No one but our own. Totally agree.

To see both photos, I love them both in their own way. I am still just on cloud 9 to own this car that it's a pleasure to even the opportunity to debate which mirror color I like the best!

Happy trails fellas!

Default Awesome..

Love the car, but something seems to be missing.. you've not gone with the DSOM/Black combo, so those wheels and lack of CF mirrors is a different look.. one you like, but not the same as what we (with the CF mirrors/black wheels) do...

To each their own, you like em or you don't, obviously you don't. We do and we got em..

Not to go on a total tangent, but is it an age / generation thing?

I know its been debated on the forum before, but the "black rim" thing has been fairly documented as a younger guy thing, whereas some of the more "mature" generations seem to prefer the aluminum / chrome rim & and body color accents...some, but not all.

I'm 42. Curious where everyone else is at based on their choices? Dan S.? AllFlash? AzCanUk?

I'm 34... I have just seen it as too much. Everyone has to have everything blacked out, contrasting. It just doesn't suit originality, to my taste.

I like the pearl wheels because everyone was going with black. Just about every car in the dealer lots was with black wheels...

I had a set of black wheels on my last orange car, the only reason is the brake dust was easier to deal with as it was a track car.

Default Nope..

Don't believe it to be an age thing.. I'm 63 (hmmm, maybe I should go with the "younger guy" thing.. LOL) so guess I fall into the "not all" bracket.

To me it was the look with DSOM. Every Corvette I've had prior to this one I had chrome on, and I LOVED it (especially the two JSB's) but when it came to DSOM, black was the decision.

Before I ordered the Z, I did the GM build website with every combination of wheel color and then changed out the mirrors/stingers/brakes etc. In the end, it's what you see as I really think it makes DSOM one beastly looking Corvette, especially with all the other black options.

They all look great, what can you say.. their CORVETTES!!!!
