Allot of ego's and very little open mindedness. The "trap speeds" of these cars are close (so close as to be negligible). The "street racing" is irrelevant unless you want to get yourself or someone else killed. This leave road racing, exactly what the car was built for (except) and I hav e to say this with a "ha ha", when the ambient temperatures are in the 80's and you are driving an A8. Best

It is because its not much faster than a GT500. I have posted a video of a A8 Hellfat vs A8 Z and it wasnt even a race. Even when the Hellfat got the hit the Z simply went by and kept pulling hard.

I haven't seen that one! I tried to link it but it won't work, but on YT it's the Bay Area Racing "Shelby GT350 vs Hellcat Challenger". Just watched it again and the Shelby really holds its own a few times

The internet makes a lot of us gullible. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. No one knows if in fact one car is modded or not. I am not saying the Z06 is invincible but I never trust these kind of videos. Besides even if it loses who cares, the cars in different leagues. One looks like an expensive exotic/semi exotic and one looks like a rental car from Avis at the airport . They're not comparable!

I thought he ran 'robe38' (who was also at the rental), but I could be wrong. If that is him the car went 11.7, but I'm not digging through the nearly 900 pages on that old thread to confirm

Gents, for the record I own both cars, both stock, both 2015's, and both manual. I have run these cars against each other...both with me driving the ZO6 and the HC. I need to video my future runs. The ZO6 pulls away from the HC at 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. It doesn't matter whether it's a roll, or a dig, the Vette is much faster.
I either got a DUD HC or Vette, but I can't come to terms with these videos. My ZO6 blows the doors off my HC. Granted, a manual race vs. auto may be a bit different, but that is my experience.

They are more Cush than my c7Z comp seats, even those the comp seats feel good.
I was never one to complain about seats in modern day corvettes.
P.s
For the moment the C6ZR1 is still the king of corvettes on the big end.

What?? You missed the point I guess. The C7 in any variation is in an entirely different league no matter how fast the other car is! I've seen 911's and Jaguar's too in car rental lots.....so what??

No not excuses, just a discussion about why things didn't come out as they should have. If you shift 1 second after a roll race starts 1 of 2 things happened, you chose the wrong gear to start or you short shifted. I think any of us would agree on that fact.

I haven't had any problems with stock Hellcats with my M7. I doubt a properly shifted A8 or an A8 left in drive does either.
