Check your tires
If you had a new C7 built and delivered this winter you should check your tires. My car was built in December and it took over a month to ship it to Seattle. The freezing temperatures the car endured during shipment caused the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2's to crack. I noticed the cracks when we took the tires off the car and replaced them with MPSS'. I've just put in a warranty claim. We will see what happens.

I heard about this happening. Chevy definitely knows about it so hopefully they help you out.
I wonder at what temps this becomes a problem.
Good luck!

Are there multiple cracks in the tire, or just that one? Also, are there cracks in the other three tires?

I better watch this one, picked up my Z06 on 12/21. I'm in Az but I don't recall the temps in Bowling Green during December at this point.

I think the tires cracked in the rail yard in Toledo in December. The car was there for about ten days. I was monitoring the car using OnStar and I noticed it moved around the yard several times before leaving Toledo. In addition, the trip west went through several very cold weather states before arriving in Portland which was also unusually cold.

Melting Slicks
Had four Goodyear G2's do the same thing.
When a tire manufacturer says its not recommended for temps below 40° do you think that means it's NOT recommended for temps below 40°?

There is Sticky thread on activating Onstar. Basically I asked my dealer to have the Onstar activated before the car left Bowling Green. I downloaded the Chevrolet iPhone app to my iPhone and added the Z06 to my existing Onstar account. From that point on I could track the car's whereabouts on my iPhone or iPad. I lost contact with it after it spent almost three weeks on the train from Toledo to Seattle. Once they started the car to move it off the train the Onstar reactivated. Pretty cool. You can use either the iPhone or Onstar app, they both work the same.

This happened to me on a 2014 Z51 I purchased and had shipped from Minnesota.
Local dealer would not help out, indicating that I "had not bought the car there". They provided me with a TSB stating that there is a loss of traction in temps below 40 degrees and the car should not be moved when temps drop below 20 degrees.
GM customer service was useless.
Michelin finally stepped up and covered the tire minus percentage of tire tread used

Reduced traction < 40F and cracking < 20F.
Here is the GM bulletin that clarifies the temp questions for various vehicles, including the C7 for both the Super Sport ZP Runflats and the Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZPs: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...82862-5448.pdf

They DO offer the tires you're after. They're called "all-season" tires. They also offer summer performance tires that provide far better traction and performance than an all-season tire at the cost of being hard as rocks in low temps. The decision on what to put you vehicle is up to you.

I just picked up a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that GM supplied as a warranty replacement for the cracked tires that came with my new Z06. It took GM and my dealership almost a month to resolve my warranty claim. In 2008 I returned a lemon Mercedes Benz ML350 and got a brand new GL450 from Mercedes Benz in less time and at no cost to me! This being my first new Corvette, I guess my expectations were a bit too high.
BTW - I'm selling the tires for $1500 if anyone is interested. They still have the stickers on them and they have never been mounted. Tires are sold!
