yeah i made 725/730 on mine at 9.8 psi stock blower. Im seeing that the bigger blowers dont really make much more torque vs stock 1.7.

i was hoping that going 2.9 or 2650 would gain more torque. Dont get me wrong 800 rwhp would be great but id also like a nice bump in torque

Remember, mine is tuned for road race as well, not max effort necessarily.

I hear you but i make 770 to 780 rw torque with a 1.7, stock heads, stock cam and I would rather it made 710 rwhp all the way to 6800 rpm.

And a genuinely nice human. I chatted with him for about 30 minutes years ago at a Sema show. I was just a no body kid, but he didnt treat me as such.

Ive read a few things that said that Edelbrock designed their 2300 housings with some extra beef in anticipation of the 2650, so they could machine the existing housings to fit the 2650 rotors. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, that should answer the "does it fit" under the hood question.

Typo ...Stock at 13lbs? Stock more like 9.5? vs 13lbs.
Anxious to see how much increase in low end torque.
Great work!

i respect your opinion a lot John, so you've got me confused/spooked now... have you seen apples to apples tests between this blower and the whipple?

Im not in a hurry, so by the time i get my next car which will be the one i upgrade, im sure there will be apples to apples tests on these 2 blowers, but still curious about your thought in the meantime.

Compressor maps and graphs from both are on the MAGGY's website the regular 2.65 beats the Whipple 2.9 hands down in several ways then they offer a 2650 stage 2 that has 2400 cfm a real brute. Neither 2650 fits on the Corvette.

Fits but no hood? Sorta need the hood You can see where the hood goes not fitting!
Same as other photo the thing is as high as the wipers.

I can't say for sure as I have not yet seen it in person. But the user states in their post it fits under the stock hood. Don't know if that means with modifications to the the hood or not.

It fits. They sent a plastic piece to mock up the back part of the Edelbrock so you can trim the hood and rear very slightly, not anywhere near as big as the Whipple.

That would be good news for those willing to cut. Do you have a photo as how much cutting is needed. I don't think the Whipple cuts the hood?
The photo looks like it is sticking up a lot up a lot be interesting to see more.
