I went 19 because the larger diameter will have a bigger footprint over an extra 10mm of width. Plus 18s out back just look weird. And I dont plan on moving to scrubs.

Yep. They do have either very tall sidewalls (R7s), or huge fender gap(toyo or nitto).
Everybody's different in what they like - for example I wanted a set of forged wheels. For what I paid I could have got lightweight Forgelines, but wanted the look of some unique 2 piece wheels.
I'm a waxer, lol.
Others order or buy 2LZ or 3LT cars for the track. Why buy a track car with 25-30 lbs extra weight? Bet those ventilated seats feel good on a hot day though. It's all a matter of personal preference.

I ignore it. I've been trying to find the right harness so that I could get my side mirrors to work but so far no luck. I have a harness and a memory module but I still don't have the right harness so far. With the strike I put that on the back burner.

I’m jealous. I need to get a cool suit. Absolutely brutal at Sebring back in July. Took a 6 week break after running up to VIR and Road Atlanta while on vacation. Just too hot down here.

I have a coolshirt and Roux carbon helmet that has cooling and that helps a lot. With a suit on I'm not sure I'd feel the ventilation anyway. If you get a coolshirt be sure you have the bag, or whatever, with the ice and water securely mounted. The strap that comes with the bag won't stand up to that abuse.

I WENT TO COTA! First time ever at this track. Ran a best of 2:26.8
Setup:
Z07 package, raybestos st45 fronts, carbotech xp8 rear pads on iron girodiscs, LG custom cooling setup. 305/660r18 and 315/680r18 pirelli scrubs.
Problems?
I broke the exhaust slats for my left side cheek coolers. probably backed up with the wheel turned too much and snapped them all off. Will need to add a metal mesh there. Otherwise the car ran hard and phenomenal all weekend.
Temps:
Saturday 60 warmed up to 70.
Sunday 70 warmed up to 80.
Saturday 60 degree 10 am session:

[/youtube]
hottest session was about 80 degrees. My car has no problem with this ambient temp, as you can see this track allows for the car to cool back down to 205 every lap.

Great run, congrats
Track looks awesome, esses look like a lot of fun. Looks like you can drive over all the gators(and you did). What point is it considered off the track? I need to watch an F1 race there.
Car looks like it’s running perfect!

Only turn I make a habit of straddling is the uphill left, T8 , where you can see me putting 2 on the red on purpose.
Any other turn is somewhat cheating and you can see that I try to stay in the curbs. You can gain like 3 seconds by straddling the turtles on several turns.
Best part of the experience was I wasn't the fastest out there. Not even close. And there were plenty of other cars with the same hp/lb ratio and running similar times. I got so used to my home track and having to dodge cars with 3x lower hp/lb ratios or running 5-10 second slower laps (even in the most adv groups) that this was a sigh of relief.

Nice video!
Did you go from sport 2 to track mode mid lap once the tires heated up?
Do you notice a big difference (hurting difference) in sport 1 vs. sport 2 vs track modes?

NASA is 4 off past the outside white line. Though 2018 season we were able to over shoot 19 but they changed that for 2019.
Generally speaking the only turtle to straddle is T8 & T19 as every other turtle is adjustable and sometimes are incredibly tall, where as sometimes they're not even there at all. So its a good practice to get used to staying away from the turtles. There was a Focus RS that burned to the ground at COTA last year from ripping its oil cooler out from under it from the turtle at T4.
Your car with pirelli scrubs is good for high teens/very low 20's @BrunoTheMellow 2:26 for the first time there is excellent though, COTA is a hard track to get right, it took me a year to get it right enough to be competitive ran 2:24 this year. Shooting for 2:22 next year.
ETA: also come do NASA TT you won't have the problem at any track of being the fastest one any more.

It's very interesting data. You were previously only hitting 214 degrees max with the identical setup at up to 100+ degrees F ambient, yet it hit 221 degrees F max at 80 degrees F ambient at this track. Your car can obviously take heat like a champ, and there's no question about that, but it's also a great demonstration of how different track configurations can impact temps.
As an example, no-one seems to ever overheat at VIR, while my local tracks are full of back to back slow turns, not letting the car shed heat. I think it also has a lot to do with west coast, and PNW in particular, mostly having new tracks that were designed in 2000s with safety in mind, which demands reducing the speed with series of sharp turns, which also means you chew through tires, and have less opportunities for the cooling system to catch up.
