I have come across strange issue at the track.
Replaced oem rims with tires to MT 18's.
With the MT tires TPMS comes on and launch control does not activate.
only the traction control turns off (at least I can warm up the tires :_)
Once the OEM rims and tires are back all works fine...
lack of tpms connection messes up all kinds of things
the stability control goes into a limp mode so I'm not surprised the launch feature does not work either

You need the tire pressure sensors to go into the PTM settings and use launch control. If you're drag racing though the best way to launch the car is usually off idle with traction control off in touring mode.
I'll let you in on the secret people driving without TPMS should know. If you wish to go into PTM settings, perhaps to use launch control you can do this.
Turn your car on. Leave in Park.
Engage the parking brake.
Tap the traction control button 6 times---then hold it for 6 seconds.
After holding it you'll see the stability control icon come on. You now have access to your PTM settings and launch control(presumably, I actually haven't tried launch control, but I do use PTM)
Note: You will have to repeat this process every time you start the car without tire pressure sensors in if you wish to access PTM.
The main problem is you don't have tire pressure sensors in the rear wheels. You are in an all-or-nothing situation, with sensors in all 4 wheels or no sensors in any of the wheels. If you swap out all 4 wheels with wheels that don't have sensors then you won't have the issue. There is plenty of forum info on this situation that was posted in threads 5 or 6 years ago.
Thanks for the info.
Need to try or simy install Tpms sensors..lol
Anyhow I can homd it with the brake at 1500rpm
and launch is set at 1800rpm…
so, not that big if a deal

As mentioned, you will get better times not using the launch control.
I have a 19 C7Z with 700rwhp. I run a 18" custom made set of BC Forged rear wheels 18x12 and run a 305/35-18 M/T ET Street R tire. I can heat the drag radials up and on a prepped surface I can brake stall my car up to 1500 RPM's and when the time comes to leave I can let off the brake and go WOT as fast as I can, the car dead hooks and pulls 1.56 60 foots on these tires with zero wheel spin.
I dont think LC will improve on this much if any at all.

That's great. I haven't heard of that before. I'm definitely going to try it.
