I would prefer plastic shrink wrap on the body since those towels will scratch as they are leaned upon while working. but much better than before

OP that would bother me as well. I would definitely talk to the foreman/supervisor or whoever. That doesn't fly.

Better in terms of parts stacked on the cowl/ windshield. However, the shop rag “rag protective barrier” is still pathetic. For an engine swap, that entire front end should be well and intentionally covered. Not **** like that. Paint scratches are guaranteed with that sad attempt at covering the paint.
