I’m sorry, forgot there are those who just roll their eyes when percentages and Math are presented. Looks like Greek to them!

The Registration Tax in Demark, presented in the above post for a $70,000 C8 calculates to $85,000.

There is also an Import Tax in Denmark on cars from the US. In 2021 it was:
25% tax rate for the 1st $10,000

85% tax rate $10,000 to $30,000
150% rate above $30,000

That calculated to $79,500 Import Duty

So a C8 will cost $70,000 + $85,000 Registration + $79,500 Import Tax = $235,000 + an additional registration tax each year as well as >$7/gallon for gas.

SIDEBAR
And for those who believe like Denmark when we have all EV’s “someone” will figure out how to produce all the electricity we need CO2 pollution free. That China, India etc will do the same and reduce their current electricity production of ~60 to 70% produced by coal. And we’ll also stop raising cows that produce methane which is ~20 times worse gas than CO2 at creating global warming and a waste of corn we can all learn to eat instead!

THERE IS A PARTICAL REALISTIC SOLUTION: Use ICE Hybrid’s to double efficiency, cut CO2 emissions in half. We can continue to convert coal fired plats etc to natural gas to produce electricity (as we are rapidly doingin the US. ) Natural Gas produces half the CO2/BTU of coal. We can also significantly increase US natural gas production (we have like 100-year supply) and sell much more to the World (as we’re doing via shipping it as a liquid.) We're currently shipping US coal to China, can replace that with liquid natural gas- sorry West Virginia!

Anyone see this Z06 or E-Ray video?

A test mule at Nurburgring had many thinking a car with the Z06 body and side exhaust was an E-Ray prototype. Based on the engine sound I'm thinking the car in this video is a Z06 test car that happens to have side exhausts.

Doesn't mean there are no E-Ray test mules in the wild, but it does have me leaning "Z06 test car" when I see similar configurations. Also has me wondering just how many Z06 test cars are out there. Seems like there's a whole fleet of them.

Yep, will work until as Maggie Thatcher said, they run out of other people's money!

BTW, this is "back day" on my 7 day/week routine and 79 year old "Uncle Jerry" does 3 sets of 10 chin-ups as part of that routine! Hope you can!
Hey Jerry. Kudos to you on your chin ups. They are part of my workout too, and I can do that many but am a bit younger than you. I hope that I can do them at your age. I know 24-27 year olds who can do zero. Keep it up!

That's why they call it a captured test fleet.

If I only saw this thread... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-vehicles.html

Not complaining. It's great to see so many variations of the Z06 already in the wild.

Very interesting video. Probably one of the earlier Z06 mules but why are they out in the snow testing the car? Also I am not a red color car guy but damn that looks hot!! 🔥 And the car looks much sexier and sophisticated without the high wing. I will have a major dilemma on my hands when it comes to ordering. High wing or low wing 🤔

I think the "no spoiler" in the video looks better than the base spoiler, but I don't think that will be an option. And I agree that TR, especially with the black wheels, is a killer color on this car.

Mules aren't random, across brands, if they are testing a car with a feature, especially this late in the cycle, then that feature goes into production. This one without a spoiler, unless something negative were to happen, then it's very likely the car will also be offered without a spoiler.

They do have the low profile wing and splitter as an option on the Stingray’s that looks similar to that.

Doesn’t sound like an E-Ray to me but we’ll be seeing more of them in the next couple of years.

Does anyone remember the video that showed a car coming out of the GM test garage at the German track that turned back because some one was filming the string of cars. The lead driver in the string waved to the driver a car or so back to turn around and go the other way.

I'd like to view that film again. Maybe that car was the eRay?
