I hear you, but the thing is for the Model S Plaid to do the advertised 1.99-2.3 0-60 it has to be in Drag Race mode, drop into Cheetah stance, and then launch. Assuming it's the same process for the Model X Plaid (?) that process can take anywhere from 5-10 mins for the battery to prep prior to get into launch mode display. However, like we both know just driving around in Plaid mode (vs. chill), they will still do 0-60 in like 2.45-2.6 secs, which is plenty fast to demolish anything else on the road. If the ERay times are close to what GM claims (2.5?), it will be the same acceleration exhilaration but with a V8 sound and the looks of the C8Z (widebody) to go with.

What dealer are you at? I'm number one at one of the smaller bergstrom locations and in the 20's at Holz.

I wonder what package the car has that was used. A 1LZ or 2LZ with the lightest options and minimum aero is going to be the fastest variant.

I will make a prediction the PLAID will always jump ahead of the E-RAY, there is NOT that much torque on the front wheels to make the jump ahead or equal to the PLAID.
The ICE torque will take milliseconds to come up thus the PLAID instant torque will always win.

I'd be happy to race my ER against a Plaid. I'm waiting for the rapture for my allocation to arrive so I can order one.

Great stuff indeed as the Draggy is a very accurate device. Keep in mind that the 1 ft roll out is standard now for these straighline tests and has been for a good while.
2.04 with 1 ft rollout is f'ng awesome.

What is crazy is if we take a step back and look at the conversation. We are debating if a car can do 0-60 in 2.0 - 2.6 or so and what you may have to do to get it there. These are all crazy number for a street car. The ERAY is a purpose built 2 seater sports car. The Tesla S or X Plaid is a 5 seater or 6 seater family sedan/suv. Perhaps we are living in the golden ages of the automobile. I just got the X Plaid and have a deposit on the ERAY. Although I confess I wanted a PHEV for the ERAY and thus might wait. Fun times.

For me, 500-600 AWHP in a fastback or HTC was always the dream. Since like 1990. Having part of it hybrid instead of mechanical only means it accelerates that much faster.

I took a drive this AM to get the break in done. WOW
I've owned over 100 Corvettes, my Eray is my 10th C8.
I have had many modded C6,7’s, ZL1 Camaro’s, and others, many over 900 WHP.
None are as quick as my Eray is in passing.
Yes, many quicker and faster, but not in brute on the road passing with ease. I am amazed.

plaid is unbelievably fast. Go drive one and you'll never question if something (stock) can hang with a plaid again.
It's a low 150mph 1/4mi car. Like think about that for a minute? The 60 to 130 is mid 4s. The eray is the same or a bit slower than the C8Z. So fogure high 7s low 8s.
they are in two different universes.

Probably with CF wheels as well. 2Rs need some heat to grip, hopefully that wasn’t with the timer on the car though as it doesn’t seem to be accurate.
