Quickest car I’ve ever owned.
I took a drive this AM to get the break in done. WOW
I've owned over 100 Corvettes, my Eray is my 10th C8.
I have had many modded C6,7’s, ZL1 Camaro’s, and others, many over 900 WHP.
None are as quick as my Eray is in passing.
Yes, many quicker and faster, but not in brute on the road passing with ease. I am amazed.

Eray is a great car. Much more of a usable C8 than Z06 and with awd? You could daily that car and it never let you down. Great job.

Wow after reading this post I’m leaning toward waiting for my ERay allocation to come up. I’m number one on 2 dealers list but growing impatient and looking at Z06’s.

2.5/10.5 seconds is going to be the fastest car most E-Ray purchasers have owned. Many, not all but damn near all of them. It will be for me if I get one but I am not one to wait on a list or be rear ended over sticker.

welcome to electric car torque. The hybrid is the best of both worlds. I just wish they'd put a DOHC engine in the base car which would also be in the eray. I'd like to see a 7500rpm redline as standard. The only thing I don't like about the LT2 is the redline. Typical sbc factory car. Just as the fun starts it shifts.

Even if they owned a car capable of that quickness, they likely weren't able to access it. How many people could get their M6 or M7 corvettes into a 1.6 60' on a repeatable basis without toasting the clutch in short order? An A8 C7 Z06 required some practice to launch decently and get close to its advertised times. The C8 puts the power down in a much more accessible manner. And with AWD, the e-ray is pretty much a stomp and go machine.

I think it would be awesome as the instant tq from the battery would help get the LT6 into the higher rev range quicker where it's really making power at. I love turbos and all but having owned and driven both applications, my Tesla Plaid and Model 3 Performance acceleration couldn't be denied, whenever I needed it whether from a stop or while driving at 60mph, the burst of tq was enough to pass anything along side of me in the shortest of distances. The Plaid was just ridiculous to 140mph, I had to get rid of that car lol.

Model S roasted my buddy's 2022 Turbo S and it had 4 people in the car vs our 2. Car is ridiculous (well technology) but it has been talked about time and time again it certainly gets boring being a silent pedestrian missile.

Last December bought my wife the Tesla X Plaid. The 1020 hp and instant torque is just crazy - no other way to describe it. 0-60 2.5 and quarter mile in under 10 seconds - from a family car that seats 6. So for future ERAY owners beware if you see a funny emblem on the back of a Tesla S or X. The X might be a good race, the S would probably just walk away.

Cars would have to come stock with traction bars--as even with 275's there's almost no way to reliably put 300 FWHP down.
This. Tesla's may be faster on paper. After they've spent 5 minutes prepping the batteries, lowering the stance, etc. So not only do I expect an ER to hang with a plaid with ease--but the plaid will have to be set into that mode to do so; the ER will be stomp and go. And I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the ER start to walk away from the plaid between 60-120.
Agreed. I don't want an EV. But I do want a quiet ICE experience.

I hear you, but the thing is for the Model S Plaid to do the advertised 1.99-2.3 0-60 it has to be in Drag Race mode, drop into Cheetah stance, and then launch. Assuming it's the same process for the Model X Plaid (?) that process can take anywhere from 5-10 mins for the battery to prep prior to get into launch mode display. However, like we both know just driving around in Plaid mode (vs. chill), they will still do 0-60 in like 2.45-2.6 secs, which is plenty fast to demolish anything else on the road. If the ERay times are close to what GM claims (2.5?), it will be the same acceleration exhilaration but with a V8 sound and the looks of the C8Z (widebody) to go with.
