They have yet to ramp up production significantly, so they're still only building about 5 ERays per day, on average. Getting on MacMulkin's ERay deposit list would be one great avenue to pursue, but their list is already quite long, and there's really no way to predict a timeframe at any dealership right now.

I also wouldn't waste your time getting on a list at MacMulkin, because then you will be waiting forever. People sat on their list for a Stingray for years and now they're selling them at a Discount while others are still waiting on other dealers' lists hoping for MSRP (which has increased $10k since the launch of the Stingray).
Do some work calling dealers to find one that has an allocation & will sell you the vehicle at a price thats agreeable to you. There are 3,000 Chevy dealers, no need to sit on a list at one for years while MSRP keeps increasing.

@JABCAT ^^^ If I were seriously shopping for an ERay now, I'd probably do BOTH. It doesn't hurt to have an ERay order guaranteed at MSRP in your back pocket, but some legwork could get someone an ERay sooner, especially if they're willing to pay more.

Agreed do both. Join C8 related Facebook groups as salesman post available inventory or allocations from time to time.
MM’s list is about 700 deep, if/when E-Ray ramps to Z06 level of production, you probably would see an E-Ray in 2026, maybe next year depending on deferrals.
But same time, ADM on E-Ray isn’t as high as it was on Z06. Heck I just saw $5K over on one. I think finding one either in stock or allocation for MSRP will occur sooner than later. There just isn’t the hype/demand for it. Some members here just calling dealers found an Z06 allocation for MSRP and just had the right timing.

I saw a post on the C8 MSRP Facebook group a dealer that had an ERay allocation available immediately for $10k over MSRP. If you do your own leg work and are willing to pay a little extra I'm sure you could probably have one this year.

I've never paid ADM on any vehicle purchase, and haven't paid MSRP in at least over a decade. I never want a vehicle enough to pay more for it. I'll wait until I can order or pick one up on the lot at a discount. There's a lot of nice cars to drive in the interim.

It's only slight hyperbole to say 10 years...
Based on current production rates, and the existing backlog of orders for most dealerships--yeah, if GM doesn't build more than 3-4 per day...it may be 10 years. Figure 261 production days per year. 2610 days at 3 produced per day = 7,830 cars.
Just saying.

The lack of production will be the biggest issue in getting an E-Ray any time soon.

Two years later, here will come availability, MSRP and discount sales.

Probably quicker to find a smaller dealer where people haven't heard of or seen an Eray and land at spot #1 or #2 on their list than wait at spot 250 at the highest volume dealers...

The pattern here is always the same. First year, limited supply, lots of demand. People who were on the list a long time in advance with reputable dealers are getting cars. People paying way over MSRP are getting cars.
Two years later, here will come availability, MSRP and discount sales.

The ZR1 will be introduced for 2025, so Z06 owners will be flipping increasing the used market. ERays will be available soon, I'd imagine.

I think it will be much quicker for the ERay. The more models there are, and the more Stingrays there are at discounts, the less demand for the higher-priced variants. Z06s can already be had at MSRP for those who look, and it's been just over a year since they rolled off the line. Others are still sitting 1,000-deep on a list somewhere.

Call around. Demand seems to have cooled throughout the entire automotive industry.
six months and dealers will be happily selling at msrp. Just a guess but z06s seem to be in dealershows for msrp with the dealer asking for more but now settling for msrp when push comes to shove.
call around as production of erays expands and I think you’ll find one.
decide what your top three colors are inside and out.
decide which interior packages you want or don’t want and call around..
id think by the end of the year at the latest. My buddy decided feb 18 th he wanted a z06. By march 20th one was in his driveway at msrp.
he called one of the local dealers and first they wanted 10 over. He said nope msrp. Texted him the next day or so 7 grand over msrp and he said nope. Msrp
next day they texted 5 over..he said no msrp.
dealer went on and on how many were waiting in line for the car with a price over msrp. He said so sell it to them.
next day they texted him at msrp and he went over and bought the car.
do the same with the Eray. If you are really in a rush five over is no big deal but that’s your choice.
good luck

You are high. There is no way in holy hell that dealers will be selling ER off lot at MSRP in 6 months. The backlog alone is at least 12 to place orders. The few that end up on lots will all have stupid markups.
Your buddy's Z06 experience from Feb of 2024 about a car that started as a 2023 MY--does not hold bearing on a 2024 MY car that literally did not make it into consumer hands before March 2024.

I had the opportunity to buy an ERay HTC, 2LZ right off the truck two weeks ago. The dealer wanted $50K over MSRP. That put the price at $178,870. The dealer offered $67,500 for my C8 HTC on trade. That left me owing $121K after title and taxes. Of course, I walked away. I was willing to go 10K over MSRP just because the car is so rare right now but that was my limit. The dealer ended up selling the ERay to a performance shop in Pennsylvania for $25K over sticker.

IMO, find a smaller dealer that's doing 10-20 corvettes per year, and see if they have a list for the eray. My local dealer got an allocation in Feb, and they are a smaller dealer...
