I received my build in late March. GREAT power and INCREDIBLE sound when I punch it. Callaway decouples the fuel management and its always on 8 cylinders for quick response of power. This has not really hurt my fuel economy that much, though. I would get it done!

Default Thinking of getting on the list

I have a 22 I’m thinking of having done . Anyone got one recently? How many have been built so far ? Any idea on the current backlog they have if I got on the list how quickly would it get done ? Lastly any pros or cons that anyone can offer ? And what does it sound like with the stock Z51 exhaust ?

I've had my Callaway for 9 months now and have had zero issues. It has performed perfectly. You can hear the supercharger, especially if the windows are down since it is sitting right behind your head. The supercharger whine is not loud or obvious though. I like the sound quite a bit.

I'd say, there is no downside. My car even gets good gas mileage if that's something that you care about.

If you have specific questions, I'll be glad to answer.

Can you post 1/4 mile and 60-130mph track/draggy videos?
Would love to see a video of one of these cars on a scale, and get more information on the supercharger itself, and how many psi owners are seeing.

Sorry, I don't do any 1/4 mile or draggy stuff. I live at high altitude so any numbers I did get would look bad compared to sea level.

Isn't the whole point of forced induction is to overcome the altitude ????
Why spend all that money on a performance package, and not know what you got for your money ?????

Forced induction does overcome altitude to a point.

I drive it and enjoy the power. I don't really care what kind of performance numbers I can get out of it.

Very nice. I think that you will be really happy with the supercharger package.

I got the ceramic polished wheels. The exhaust with the required diffuser was too spendy for me. I ended up changing out the stock exhaust for the Borla Type-S.

Unless it's changed, the price is $30k. It does have an air to water intercooler and they advertise the horsepower as 687.

I hope you guys are happy with your cars but I would sooner spend $30K on a 427 stroker motor if I had to choose.

I have a few questions for those who have the Callaway supercharger:

1) Have you noticed any tuning problems at all? Any flat spots, drivability issues, throttle response issues, or anything else? Even if it's only under very specific driving or weather conditions, do you notice anything that feels like it wouldn't come from the factory that way?

2) Do you notice any loss in power after driving it hard (heat soak issues)? How does the car do in high temps (it gets over 105 degrees here)?

3) I know it's hard to quantify, but how loud is the supercharger really? I've heard DAGreekNYC's sound clip and it sounds good. However, I saw a clip of a Lingenfelter system (I know, roots vs twin screw) that seems really loud, and it would be a deal breaker for me. Does the Callaway sound this loud with the windows down (you can skip to the driving at 0:30):

4) Do you have any regrets on choosing Callaway vs other types/brands of FI?

5) Lastly, (and I know this is a funny/subjective question but) can you put into words how drastic you feel the overall upgrade is? I mean, it is closer to "yeah it does seem faster" or "wow! it's a totally different car"?

Thanks for your responses!

1) I have not had any problems at all with my Callaway. It has been perfect. No codes, no tuning oddities at all. I live at 7300 feet in altitude. I have driven my car at altitudes ranging from 4000 feet to over 10,000 feet and still no tuning issues.

2) I have not noticed any heat related issues, but it doesn't usually get over mid 90s here. I have observed that when its cooler out, the supercharger lid on my Callaway C8 is cool to the touch. This has never been the case with any other supercharged vehicle that I have owned.

3) You can definitely hear the supercharger but the sound level of it is not obnoxious at all. It is louder for sure with the windows down but still not too loud. It is not as loud as the car in that video.

4) I have no regrets over my choice of the Callaway.

5) I never drove my car before adding the Callaway supercharger since my car was direct shipped from the BG assembly plant to Callaway, so I don't have before/after comments. I can say that, given traction, my Callaway C8 feels almost as fast as my 19 Z06 (Magnuson 2300 at 13 psi). When I'm running E85 in the Z06, it's not even close.
