Well, I guess that confirms they are indeed making a turbo version.
Definitely a turbo whistle at the ending seconds..

I was finally able to get a decent video of the new 2020 C8 Prototype driving in Michigan. Towards the end I was able to get up close views of the interior and engine compartment.

Um... the top's down so you don't need it I'd guess the rear view mirror display switches from a camera display to an actual mirror? Not sure how they actually work.
EDIT - To clarify, the big camera is most likely the rear view mirror and a reverse camera will still be in the rear fascia.

Apparently, the guy doesn't know how to rotate his phone 90 degrees...

- engine speed really low to spool a turbo, the driver was barely idling it out of the lot
- listen to the whistle change pitch at the gear change @ 2:54, whistle changed pitch exactly with change in engine rpm. Turbos don't do that.
the 'heartbeat' exhaust definitely precludes a flat plane crank..... that is a cross-plane rumble for sure.

The current Camaro has that option, when you go to "flip" the rearview mirror as in a typical car when you have someone with their bright's on behind you it shows the camera view. Flip the rearview mirror back down and it's a normal mirror and I'm positive that's how this one will work too. I had it on a rental I had a few months back, it was actually pretty cool!

Yeah the camera mirror is required to function as a real mirror by law. It was first used in the Cadillac CT6 and is now available on all Cadillacs(as far as I know), the Silverado/Sierra pickups, and the refreshed Camaro. Jaguar/Land Rover have now copied the rear camera mirror because it’s such a great idea, but they’re not a threat to GM sales.

The person talking in the video seems like a younger person. I am glad the younger generation takes an interest in the C8.
Takes away the "Old Mans Toy" myth. Although, the younger people wan't be able to afford it !

IIRC Vette MSRP has held pretty constant with inflation over the generations. For instance the base price of a C5 in 1997 was $37.5k which is about $60k today - within spitting distance of C8 expected based price.
My sons age 10 and 13 are nuts about the C8, more enthusiastic than I am. By the time they could possibly afford one in 10,12, 15 years, it'll be well depreciated!

You could be right, but on the other hand the RPMs were just rising almost as if there was a slipping clutch and then the turbo spooled up. If you've driven turbo cars, you know you can get a low RPM spool up based on - off throttle to part throttle acceleration.
