Do you think Carbon Fiber interior option is worth spending $1,495?

If money is that tight you probably should not be dropping that much money for a toy.
Corvette option prices are an absolute bargain. My 458 the cup holders were a $1700.00 option and I cant recall one single option that was less than that $1700.
458 base was 250k and with just a few options. I ended up over 300k.
The C8 spyder I ordered came in at 99k and has far too.many option that if I speced out the same on my 458 i would have easily been close to.400k
Corvette still is as it has been a tremendous value. Plus the days of having to make excuses for.the interior are over when you order the 3lt and carbon trim.
Corvette finally can be reviewed and determined to be an exceptional sports car and no longer require an *** about being great for the price.
The review now credit the car as being a great sports car with no more excuses or mention that it great due to price and value only.
Now it's just a great car period.
I honestly am shocked that what you get for under 100k.

I cant see anyone who going to spend between 70k to 100k on a toy would even consider doing a fake carbon wrap.

Yep loaded to the max with all the carbon options and you still under $100k on the C8 Vert. It's a bargain for what you can get!

As others have mentioned, anything that gets rid of plain plastic is worth considering in my opinion.
I'd be happy with other alternatives, but CF is a popular automotive decoration. CF, Aluminum, whatever, just not that black plastic.
I had it on my 2014, didn't get it on my 2018 and regularly look at the dash and think I wish it wasn't plastic.
YMMV

I'm probably a "minimalist"..... to me carbon fiber makes sense if you need the weight savings and the composite's strength. I have load$$$ of "authentic" carbon fiber in my Can Am clone--but it's there for a reason....
On my C8? nope. If it isn't saving weight, or providing additional strength/safety, then it's "for show only". Not my desire...... but different strokes for different folks.....

For those talking about not wanting "plastic", so they'll order the carbon fiber... you're still getting plastic. I worked for the company for 30 years that helped develope the Corvette body and we had a fleet of 1963 Corvettes as company cars to tool around in.... the bodies being what the industry calls "FRP" aka fiberglass reinforced plastic. We even sponsored a couple Corvettes in the Trans Am series to help promote the "new" FRP technology in automobiles. The high priced interior option on the C8 looks to be CRP......carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The typical person on the street calls boats, cars, fishing rods, etc....."fiberglass" while in reality it's plastic reinforced with fibers of glass. Just a technical explanation.....but sort of ruins the argument that you don't want plastic, so you'll opt to order the CRP. They use a clear plastic resin so you can see the carbon fibers.

The second owner will be very happy you gave him a gift. You'll never see a dime of that cost in return. IMO

my opinion is that 1500 bucks can buy a second set of tires or an engine appearance pack and some accessories. I know what I’d rather have.

today's carbon fiber is the same as yesterday's chrome or white shoes and belts. Carbon for brakes, structural parts, lightweight body panels.Carbon as a decoration? A WASTE.

According to the final 2020 Statistics from the NCM, 23.7% of customers ordered the carbon fiber interior trim package. I was one of those numbers....

For 2021 Final production numbers, the total was 19.8%.
