Speeding Ticket in C8
I've got about 900 miles on my 21 C8 so still in break-in period. It's very challenging to stay within speed limits especially when on the highway and another performance car pulls alongside. I'm sure some here have not maintained their speed & got a speeding ticket. Just wondering how many of you have been cited for speeding 90+ mph in their C8. I don't want to know about when you were driving any other vehicle, just when driving a 20 or 21 Vette. Please state your speed & the speed limit & whether it was within break-in period or not.

Yeah...I don’t see a ton of people posting that here.
It’s easy to get there but why would anyone do anything during break-in that would either void the warranty or damage their C8 after waiting so long?

Break-in period ends at 500 miles..... except for:
For the first 2 414 km (1,500 mi):
. Do not participate in track events, sport
driving schools, or similar activities.
. Check engine oil with every refueling and
add if necessary. Oil and fuel
consumption may be higher than normal.
If you believe different, please post your source

This is the most blatant and specific data mine question I've ever seen posted on a forum.

Should we also post our VIN number and last four digits of our SS# ?
This way no one gets confused with another ?

Pretty sure it would be unwise to admit anything like that on a public forum.

Going 90+ (which I do frequently in 55 mph limit rural roads with no homes or traffic and only corn and cotton on the sides) will still get you 6 points and reckless driving ticket. Have not had a ticket with my last 4 Vettes. Don't go that fast where it's unsafe for anyone else or where police would be there (or any car for that matter.) Have not had an accident with another car in 60 years of driving (required luck as well as very defensive driving.) Stopped doing foolish things with cars when 19 - not so smart when 17 and 18- just lucky. Yep 78 and turn 19 when I get in my C8! Note, not 17 or 18 so don't rely on luck to be safe!

I have had radar detectors 'Hard Wired' into most of my cars for the last 30 yrs(started driving when I was 3). Saved me many times. When is Chevy going to install a radar detector or at least a switched power access that can be easily used without running lines all over the car?
Likely Never due to legalities???

Well I was driving my C8 Tuesday in very light traffic on a rural 55 mph divided four-lane highway when an out-of-state (Florida) sedan passed me. He was running about 65 mph.
A mile later there's a highway patrolman sitting in a straightaway median crossover as that sedan continued by. Patrolman seemed to be more interested in that oncoming (mostly law-abiding) exotic mid-engine (me) headed right at him. Just before getting to him, he whips out in front of me. I have to shift lanes to not over take him. Then he slowly gunned it and headed after that sedan. Pulled him a half-mile away just beyond another pulled vehicle with two unmarked HPs. And one of those HPs was driving a white Dodge truck!
Lessons? 1) In a C8, you're red meat. 2) Waze was no help.

Waze would be no help if people don't help waze. Fyi, in 55, I wouldn't be beyond 60 just sayin. There's a reason it's 55 and not higher. Speed limits are usually set for the conditions. There's a time and place for everything. Police are counting on it.

Lost my license when 21 105 in a 55 walked for a year and no ticket since. Lesson learned walked for a year and got a new pair of shoes. I am 75 years old now.

Speeding tickets are nothing more than an additional form of taxation!
That should incite some lively responses...
