Default C8 luck

As of yesterday I own a 2021 C8. It's a Red Mist convertible, jet black interior, 3 LT. I love everything about it and can't wait to finish reading the instructions.

My preferred dealer originally sold it to a collector. It was displayed in his art museum (?), and after he was done with it he asked the dealer to sell it for him. I got it with 4 miles; it was trailered from dealer to museum and back to dealer. It was titled but not registered, so technically it was a used car.

YES, I paid a premium and I was happy to do so. I traded 2 Vettes (2019 Z06 and 2019 ZR1) and got some real premium on one, so I drove off with the C8 and a nice check. Timing and circumstance.

Congratulations! How does it compare to the previous vehicles? I’m not sure I could get rid of the 19 ZR1 for the C8 myself. I did get rid of my 17Z to give one a shot though.

Congrats. I would have kept the ZR1 to go with the C8. But that’s just me. I am afraid to ask what premium you paid.

Everything about the car IMO is different from C7. It is extremely quick, sounds great. And that HTC thing is a game changer. I was always a coupe guy because I just couldn't accept a soft top. But the HTC eliminates messing around with roof panels, does not reduce the already sparse storage, and looks fantastic with the top up .As a topper, some people think it's a McLaren.

I'm still figuring it out and changing things with Onstar and Sirius. More fun stuff to come.

Since I have chosen to get down to one Vette, this is the one.

(all of this is just my opinion. Other opinions may vary )

By chance, was this a C8 at the Volo Auto Museum in Volo IL? Saw one that matched that exact description about two weeks ago.

I remember this one. Wonder what they will accept. Not sure if Volo bought it or it’s on Consignment.
