Default Rubbed the Dye off of my Sky Cool Gray Drivers side seat. The Fix

Before

After

This stuff works great!!
I wipe my seats down every time I drive the car. Two weeks ago I found some color transfer from my red shirt on the drivers side seat. DO Not use Gonzo to take stains out of a Sky Cool Gray Interior. It will take off the dye. I googled leather dye for seats and picked Seat Doctors. You tell him the color of your interior with the number from your Build Sheet. This bottle cost about $35.00. He has a video that shows you what to do. It took me about an hour. I also had a small mark on the drivers side door panel that is invisible now. The pictures show the incredible results.

Thanks for sharing valuable information to those of us with light colored seats. $35.00 is a bargain based on the results you just showed us

Dude, my sky cool grey seats haven't begun to wear yet. But I'm grabbing some of this stuff to have if they do. Nice work.

Robert,

This is a great find. I've added Seat Doctors to my automotive bookmarks.

Thanks!

No, I had on a new red shirt. Some of the red dye transferred to the seat. What took the Sky Kool Gray Dye off the seat was the Gonzo that I was using to get rid of the red dye. Do not use Gonzo on your seats to remove stains. It will remove the stain and the leather dye on your seats.

This stuff is supposed to work on any color interior. It helps if you send them the interior color code from your build sheet.

I ordered giving them my VIN, color name (same as yours - Sky Cool Gray) and my interior color code (HU9 - 3LT GT2 seats with microfiber inserts).

Search posts with "seat doctor" (in quotes) in the advanced search. There are posts from others providing their experiences with this and some helpful suggestions.

I had not read about this product before. Good post and resource for future reference. Thanks OP!

I put a protective coating on my seats il with this ceramic coating and dye transfer comes right off my sky cool gray as well as anything else I get on them.

The match looks great! Now what will be interesting to see is how well it holds up.
