Tire help
I’m gonna show my ignorance a bit but it ain’t the first time. When I look at the oem tires for the stingray based on the size I see 3 different options even on the Michelin site - at least for the 19 inch fronts in the all season tire. I know the tire and load index and the speed rating are the numbers at the end. But which are the oem and why? There is as much as $100 difference in cost between them on some sites. Thanks.

If you go to the Tire Rack site and search by car 2023, Corvette Stingray, it will bring up the proper tires for the Stingray. Michelin frequently builds tires to a manufacturer's specific needs, thus why the same size tire may have several listings. Keep in mind the Stingray specific OEM tires, whether the PS4S or the PSAS4 are ZP (zero pressure) tires.

Sorry my link didn’t work but I know they are the Michelin Pilot Sport all season 245/35/r19 but there a couple versions of that tire in that size even on the Michelin site. So I guess I was asking if those load and speed ratings matter drastically enough that only the one specific version would be appropriate.
here is what I’m talking about - in Michelin site they have the 245/35/ZR19 in 3 versions . They all have different things after the size. One has (89Y) ZP BSW, one has (89Y) TPC ZP BSW, and the last has 93Y XL BSW.
But now I’ve learned the answer to my own question. Thanks guys

I thought l would just offer some info on tires. 245 35 ZR19. 245 means the tire is 245 mm wide, 35 means the sidewall is 35% of the 245mm width. thus the sidewall is 85.75 mm. 19 represents that the tire fits on a 19" rim. ZR means that the tire can be used up to 186 mph if shown with a Y, and over 186 mph if the Y is in (Y) parentheses. ZP represents Zero Pressure (run flat). BSW represents Black Side Wall. 89 represents that each tire can carry a max load of 1279 lbs. Thus total max load for that car would be 4 x 1279 = 5116 lbs. 93 represents 1433 lbs max load per tire, thus 5732 lb max load for this vehicle. TPC is Tire Performance Criteria Specifications.

The GM OEM tires are identified with the label TPM molded into the sidewall.

Agree with the comments that the GM OEM spec tires are the TPC labeled ones. TPC are the specs that GM calls out for specific tire usage for a given vehicle. GM ride and handling engineers work with the tire companies to tune the tire to handling, noise, ride, tramming, wear characteristics. This is not unusual that Mercedes, Porsche, and some other OEMs also have their “spec” tires and you’ll see that on the Tire Rack listings.

I just double checked the link in my earlier post (#3) and I see that it shows more that just Michelins. But if you check the RUN FLATS box on the left side, then only OEM tires are listed. ..
Interestingly there is an orange bar in the upper right hand corner that says "Original Equipment" for both sets; the all season and the max summer, but only the all season have the TPC indication...... hmmmm....?
