This weeks constraints

SO let me get this straight after 5 years of building the most bestest car in the world GM still can't get parts to build the thing now isn't there a thing called planning ahead and figuring out what they need to build this car? OK after 3 years why wouldn't they get new suppliers why??
So they can keep selling this car at inflated prices and make buyers pay more than it's worth, BUT as folks her have said many times it's capitalism and it's my money and it is the bestest car for the money and I don't mind waiting 2 years to get it

I thought they were always a gray only option? I'm at 3000 right now.

I, as I'm sure many others, are paying attention. To me, the past several weeks appear like a model year change out is approaching. It's gotta be getting close.
Thank you very much for sharing the data.

My dealer is constrained on non-Z51 models ... I am a non-Z51 order but they plan to submit my order anyway in hopes it will be accepted. Not sure if that is more smoke and mirrors to prevent me from walking with my deposit, or a feasible possibility. I had to change from 20 spoke gloss black wheels and carbo flash high wing, as both were restrained.

I do not mean to counter information from VetteND as he (she?) is clearly are at a dealership and I am definitely not, but there have been other dealers post here and elsewhere, that the "National Quantity" isn't actually National Quantity (despite the name) and just quantity for that dealer area/region. At least one dealer has compared his "national quantity" to others in a different area and they noticed very different numbers for the same exact time period leading them to conclude it is regional -- which makes sense as the actual quantity is way smaller than a production run.
Again I have no information here personally, just noting that there are some differing opinions among dealers on what "national quantity" means.
Either way I appreciate the insight and the post.
