Guys relax...
theres a picture missing....right after the one with the hatch open,
there should be a picture where they pull a golf car out of the rear...
On a serious note...your going to get compromise on the cargo capacity ,
Somewhere in between what the old customer base needed(golf bags and luggage)....And of course what the new generation requires(man purses and an occasional pair of stilettos )
These two shots provide a stark contrast between C7 and C8 design. One is sleek and sexy, the other a chunk monster--I'll let you decide which is which to you...
Congratulations on saying the dumbest thing I've heard today.
I am willing to bet plenty of cars get airborne on that hill given the right speed. GM should be embarrassed they still haven't released a 'Ring time for the C7. This photo does absolutely nothing to save face.
With the door open, it looks to have a slight upward opening track.....this would be good to clear curbs while opening the door.
Also, the scoop on the passenger door looks pretty big. It may limit the door quite a bit opening in tight parking spots.
Looks good so far!
Good catch I noticed it too, my friends Aston Martin has same upward angle.
Both taken at the double right hander ,Flugplatz. The other place that you can become airborne is at the famous jump at Quiddelbacher Hohe..There are speed limits in some places now to the public to keep costs down due to crash damage. The Ring has a long and chequered history. 16 improvements, have been made since I last drove there in 2002.
500 metres of the track surface in the area of Flugplatz have eliminated the 5 huge bumps that came from hard use. Repaired in about 2015. The other jump was done later. The famous jumps have been both a crowd-pleaser and a car-wrecker for many years .Track smoothing and safety improvements are nothing new at the Nordschleife. Over its 88-year history, many jumps, bumps and curves have been removed, replaced and rejigged. It was pretty rough when I drove there in 87 (928 Porsche,93 (ZR1 Vette) 02 ( Z06 Vette).for a total of 12 laps. Google the map.
Some things that I've noticed:
The body line leading into the intake looks like the lower line on the sides of the C7, but inverted.
The headlights look like sleeker C7 headlights.
The grille is shaped like the 2016-2018 Camaro SS's grille, but the grille and bumper curve more like the C7.
The fenders are very tall above the rear tires, and the engine appears to be low in the CADs. It seems the there will be a lot of unused space in the rear of the car if there isn't a trunk back there. The power hardtop has to go somewhere, and that somewhere should theoretically be empty on the coupe models. Of course, that will not be the case if they decide to showcase the engine in the back of the car. However, it is possible that there is a trunk in the rear like that on the NSX, which essentially at the very rear of the car, using the same hatch as the engine bay. It is also possible that the extra volume will aid in cooling on the turbocharged models.
Isn't it faster to fly than to travel on land? Or is that extra 9.8m/s/s negligable?

Reason: Dyslexia?

The C8 is not that chunky looking. It has the portions of most mid engine super cars right now.
Call me old fashioned, but I judge cars by what they do, not how they look.
To me, the C8 looks a little shorter than the C7 and if true, that’s good.
Downward Visibility over the nose nose looks better, that’s good too.
OTOH I thought it was impossible to make a ‘vette with worse side & rear visibility than the C7 but I’m afraid the C8 will do it.
And I don’t see how we will be able to fit enough luggage for our 2 month road trips.
So the C7 may be our last Corvette. Hope I’m wrong.
Front visibility will be much better big advantage not having engine in front.
Rear view won’t be an issue it will have a camera rear view mirror same as the new GMC trucks. The top mounted camera on roof back is the camera.
Lugauge space is overrated, we live in the days we have Amazon or other services with same day delivery. I bet GM will produce a car with luggage capacity better than any ME in production today. Not sure how that compares to our C7,s.

Cars don't fly at Flugplatz anymore after the reshaping of the hill. The very cool photo in #11 was taken at Pflanzgarten.

There will be plenty of room in the front trunk, probably more then I would need

Let's see. McClaren, nope. Ford GT, nope. Ferrari, nope. Where are these mysterious MEs that have the same chunky, slab-sided, high belted proportions of the C8?
