I won't judge it until I actually see it in person. I didnt really like what I saw in pictures of the C7 when it came out. Then I went to a show and got to see the car in person and suddenly I liked it. So I am not going to rush to judge a vehicle anymore until I can actually look it over in person.

I hope the C8 doesn't look like ANY car...that is why I think the C8 may not be "as popular" because other than a few minor design differences, it (seems) that it will look like every other mid-engine sports car out there...

The reason the C1 to the C7 are admired by so many, is because they dont look like any other car on the road...even a kid playing in a park knows a Corvette... The same cant be said for a Ferrari or other sports car. That same kid may stare at a Ferrari because its a hot car driving by...but I bet he would know it was a Corvette if one drove by...not so sure they would know Ferrari or Lambo or other...

I love opinions/ posts like this because it makes the car easier to buy for those of us who want to own this car!

Yes, exactly. Amazing how the C8 has yet to be revealed and the haters are attempting to Corvette enthusiasts that the car is ugly.

I like corvettes even if I don't love all of them (C4 comes to mine and the C3 was never high on my list). But the C3 will look good , from what I see and know about mid-engine cars. They have a short hood and longer from the windshield to the rear bumper.
Can I adapt to the short hood after 7 generations of long hoods? Will I ever love this design? Oh well, I think I will like it.

That distinction went away with the C3.

I think everyone should wait until the reveal.

My issue so far is that it's pretty plain jane-ish. But, who knows?

I always refer to the LaFerrari mule...now that was hideous and I'd say the finished car turned out OK.....

Very few people know what it looks like under the camo and fake bits, so pre-judging the looks of the car isn't productive.
Good point.
However, what I can "see" under the camo doesn't give me goose bumps...at least not like the C7 did.

but it doesn’t look like a corvette. It looks like an Italian car now lol
If you find Italian cars like Ferraris and Alfa Romeos ugly, then you'll probably find the C8 to be ugly. It definitely has an Italian flair to it, with an American brashness.

The Ferrari comparison may have been correct up until a few years ago when Ferrari dumped a few turds on the market. Unfortunately there will be some and likely quite verbal detractors who will rip the C8 if it doesn't look like some kind of a Ferrari or Lambo clone. Even in camo it is fairly certain that it will not resemble a 911 in any way thank God.

Nah, its because no one else makes a car that looks like a Porsche. Kinda like no one ever says "Car Y looks great, looks like a Corvette".

You are quite right about that. The only other car that looks like a 911 is a VW Beetle.

The point I was actually making was the blending of functionality w aesthetics that I believe is a strong suit of Italian design, as opposed to “german” design that has a boas towards functionality over aesthetics as an example.
I have always had an admiration for GM Design and believe it to be closer to the Italiian aesthetic than others. Having said that, I love McLaren, the classic Jaguars, and Aston.

ficant, why did you post. Also not sure why you felt the need to clutter the board with yet another insignificant thread, when you could have just replied to any number of existing threads.
If it's insignificant, why did you post?
