Another C8 render

....

I tend to think that a big empty expanse of quarter panel between the wheel and the door edge make the design look unbalanced - too big a rear. I can put a big old bulbous scoop there easily, the challenge is to fill that area partially with something interesting. The design below is truer to the door contour that we see on the disguised cars (save the MIG-fighter-wing scoop).

I like your front fender lines.
I do believe a very pronounced line is down the door length, as shown here, and i do believe that there is likely an intake below this door line as well. The intake below the door line would most likely cool the rear brakes.
I don't know if the intake all looks to be 1 intake or if they make it apparent its 2 separate intakes.
Think if the first generation viper side vent was put on the back half of the car instead of the front. I think that is very close to what it will be.

Regardless what the vent shape is, i believe no one has put it backward far enough yet on the car, or made the car slope in enough as it approaches the intake.
I believe a blade in the middle of the intake, dividing the gap from the outside of the rear quarter panel to the sloped in panel of the door, a vertical blade that splits the opening in 2 would give it a very classy/expensive look and also keep an animal or a small child from trying to climb in there, but still allow maximum airflow into a very large opening overall. Then, the door line divides that intake into 2 halves from top and bottom.
I believe this concept would explain the double piece we have been seeing on the "exposed door handle photo"
I believe the intake should be a greater overall width than the viper's vent. There is no reason not to have it guzzle as much air as possible and put as large of heat exchanger one can possibly fit there, even on the base model. Lower temps mean higher reliability and avoided lawsuits for GM and also impressed/proud customers. And it does not cost anything in the grand scheme of things... an upcharge of 300 dollars in heat exchangers? Who cares, do it, and do it right from the get-go.
Blue lines represent the concave nature of the panel leading back to the intake. White lines in the black are the front edge of the 1 or 2 vertical blades I mentioned.
These blades may be a straight line following the curve of the intake, instead of 2 bowed out shapes, but I bowed them in so that a person can see that the door line down the length of the vehicle may match up to the middle of the intake's outer edge. That door line is important because it keeps the front tires from being able to throw rocks up into the top vent.. the rocks/debris either go in the bottom brake vent or they are deflected away by the lateral door line. This is important for heat exchangers not getting punctured at high speeds with debris.
The reason other than the exposed door handle photos, that lead me to believe they would have an added blade in the middle of the intake, is because the front intake at the nose of the car clearly has a blade that splits that intake as well. I believe the rear quarter/door intake will be similar in theme with the dividing blade to also visibly conceal the heat exchanger and keep someone from touching it and frying their hand.
And then the higher HP variants will definitely need an additional intake, which they can put on the side plane of the vehicle, and keep the theme going by adding at least 1, possibly multiple blades which divide the intake and capture air and bring it down into the car. Now the pronounced bulky rear fenders have a purpose, they are there to support large intakes to guzzle air and then expel it out the rear of the vehicle to eliminate rear vehicle vacuum/drag. This intake could also go across in its front, to the bottom of the side window. I drew it here in very petite/minimal size.
Also, I probably should have mentioned sooner, but the taillights that GM has shown us are all fakes. I believe this picture of the 2 slim parallelograms is the correct tail lamp, otherwise, I was looking at one of the higher HP versions, and the are using those other ugly lamps on the more base versions. I am not sure any of the renders depict these correct tail lamps yet.

I tried to fix the perspective on the original telephoto image that made the nose look too small so this is an approximation.

Ha! You funny IV !
Don't worry Iron...I think the C8 will look "at least" this nice...which aint too bad IMO...
Take a look at the side view poster above. I feel the c8 compares favorably with the competition and has no outstanding or unusual odd characteristics to fret over...
I think the double fender peaks should be a very interesting and dramatic look.
