Front engine future
Will Gm continue to offer a front engined corvette? The majority of Corvette owners are not boy racers and do not take part in track days. We want a sports car suitable for touring with good luggage capacity like the C7 coupe.

I believe it has been said before that Tadge and team claimed to have solved the storage issue for mid engine sports car.
He has also said that the front engine platform has reached its pinnacle for performance with the C7Zr1. That they could not push beyond the performance of that car on that platform which is why they went to mid engine

While I do take advantage of the luggage space in my C7, as I have in all my past Corvettes, one quickly learns work-arounds in smaller capacity cargo cars..... my 30-year-old mid-engine Ferrari has much less cargo space than my C7, but, still, I can get in a case of wine, my medium-sized soft-sided leather bag, shoes, boots, miscellaneous stuff....but, if I need the Yeti that has to go into the passenger seat....
I'll likely buy a C8 as soon as the prices stabilize.....

There will likely be storage in both the front and the back. Maybe you should look at the various mid-engine options and their storage capacity (e.g. NSX).

It depends on what qualifies as "good luggage capacity" to you...

I took many a weekender in my F430 with enough space for my stuff and my wife's stuff in a medium sized hard side suitcase. You just need to learn how to pack wisely. 22 years of active duty USAF taught me that. As for using a mid-engine car as a tourer, why not? I'll be upgrading to the C8 around third model year.

I was heading back home from Oregon and had spent the night in the Black Hills. New Chevy Suburban with east coast tags, there, with a trailer carrying to big *** Harleys. Plenty of room in the rear of the SUV for a couple nights change of underwear.
Just trailer your new mid engine C8 to your destination behind your Suburban.
