The car will be amazing. No way GM will screw this up. This is a legacy decision. I strongly feel there are gonna be huge surprises on the 18th. Different tail end and much smaller side vents, and possibly an awesome hood. The rear end is my biggest fear, but again I think it’s exaggerated until the reveal.
What we can determine from the cars GM is testing, the proportions are all wrong (hood is to short and the rear deck is to high/long). I purchased a new C7 to hold me over until something else excites me. Could be my last Corvette!

Pretty much ME proportions... they generally all have short hood and long rears. Granted, the C8 seems to have a bit too long of a rear but that's because the golfing/home depot shopping folks would throw a fit if it didn't have tons of storage. Hard to really say though until the car is released as the camo hides details that might bring it all together notwithstanding the rear end looks a tad long'ish.
It's not too different, proportion wise, to other ME's though...
I’m anxious for the reveal on the 18th but from the several renderings that people have posted the car is kinda ugly IMO. The proportions just seem off. It kinda looks like a low rent “imitation” Ferrari (which, I guess, with a supposed $60k price tag is pretty much what it is).

1. A base Viper RT/10 cost 56,000.00 in 1994. A Viper GTS MSRP in 1997 was 66,000 dollars. Adjusted for inflation in 2017 dollars, that's about 93,000.00 dollars and 100,000.00 dollars and change respectively.
The base price of a Viper in 2018 was 99,000 and change, for a car that was objectively better than the 1996 in almost every way. Yes, base for base, the price went up...by 6,000 dollars. Hardly a massive price jump.
2. A fully optioned Dodge Ram 3500 costs about 100 grand now. Escalades are 100 plus. Economy cars are pushing 30 grand.
Cars are all expensive now.
The Viper languished on dealer showroom floors for years.
Dodge had had to reprint the window stickers to drop the price $15K and they still never moved.
>>Had and nothing to do with the price.<<<
There was nothing new brought to the table (technology) at their price point. Most Viper owners, including myself were so not impressed.
The Corvette C7 was quite a big upgrade to the C6. Totally different. Look at how many Z06 were sold. I believe near 10,000. That’s HUGE.
I thought and said that the mid engine Corvette would be EPIC. I am wrong.
The C8 Corvette will be MONUMENTAL
thats correct .... I said M-O-N-U-M-E-N-T-A-L
