I fricken hate it, ugly as hell, should of still made a front engine choice to. Out priced the average new Vette buyer. Did not learn apparently what Chrysler did to the Viper overpriced it and did not sell, the defenders of this Vette will be buyers who can afford a 120,000 car, but that is not Vettes base.

I tend to agree, but in all fairness will need to see one in a showroom, and it's a given most small dealers will pad the bill and who the hell will service them if not near a large dealer.

I believe in order to sell em, a dealer needs a certified tech on board-at least that was the case with the c7, I think.

Cool, than the one or two the small dealers get will languish on their showroom floor while the big dealers with allocation send them out the door at sticker price.
Its easy to play dealer markup with limited editions, not so easy when you're gonna see in the neighborhood of 40k produced the first year.
You already hate it? You haven't even seen it yet nor do you have any details about the price etc... At least wait until the reveal on the 18th before passing judgement.
I predict a year from now you will be driving a C8.

Go out side take a few deep breaths, 4 Advil & wash it down with some Jack Daniels No 27 Gold. You will feel better in the morning.

A couple of thoughts.
1. A base Viper RT/10 cost 56,000.00 in 1994. A Viper GTS MSRP in 1997 was 66,000 dollars. Adjusted for inflation in 2017 dollars, that's about 93,000.00 dollars and 100,000.00 dollars and change respectively.
The base price of a Viper in 2018 was 99,000 and change, for a car that was objectively better than the 1996 in almost every way. Yes, base for base, the price went up...by 6,000 dollars. Hardly a massive price jump.
2. A fully optioned Dodge Ram 3500 costs about 100 grand now. Escalades are 100 plus. Economy cars are pushing 30 grand.

Where do these people come from? How can you make any kind of intelligent determination of the car when you haven't seen what it will look like, have no idea what it will cost, and have no idea about the performance?

And, as far as I recall, the Viper is still faster around the Nurburgring than a ZR1
(unless GM wants to go ahead and release those numbers....)
