PS. I have a 3LT C6 and it has a vinyl dashboard that still looks new (the entire car looks new actually). Didn't only the 4LTs in the C6 get the leather dash?
My windshield has ceramic window tint to protect the interior.

On the C8, the 2LT is like a whopping $8K more than 1LT, and by the time I've optioned out 2LT to what I want that comes standard with 3LT (GT2 seats and some carbon bits), I'm only a couple grand shy from full blown 3LT. I don't think 2LT is really worth it. My opinion is either go 1LT and enjoy the greatest performance bargain ever, or go 3LT and load it up. 2LT seems like the worst kind of compromise. It's almost as if GM wants you to get the higher margin 3LT...
One consideration in going with the 2LT over the 1LT is for the safety features. The side zone indicators and the full view digital rear view mirror. In my opinion though, these both should have been standard on all trims with the huge blind spots and learning curve associated with driving a mid-engine car. However as you pointed out, I knew I wanted the GT2 seats with two-tone (to break up the interior), it was a pittance to jump up to the 3LT after adding those to a 2LT, which also opened up the strike yellow interior option for me. Was kind of a no brainer, if I wasn't going to go as cheap as possible, I might as well go 3LT.
