So I’m now opting back in since they are heated/ cooled and all leather. Do you think they are somewhat comfortable? I know not like the lounge chair the GT2 look but still comfortable to sit in.

I'd like to know the fit, too. I'm 6 ft. And 173 lbs. I saw these in Carlisle on Thursday before you could sit in any of the cars. The competition seat on the display stand there was the 1LT version. The textile fabric covered the bottom and back of the seat; it felt like a tight-weave polyester knit fabric. I thought it looked and felt cheap and so did the GM rep standing there. I equate polyester to being hot next to the skin. That said, the 3LT red competition seats in the display car looked great but with a very limited amount of the fabric. I would forgo the suede option because I want leather on the steering wheel. But I'm still considering the red 3LT competion seats without suede.
Check it guys,
I was on the phone ordering my car and when I mention 3LT, natural dipped in suade for the GT2 seats my salesman told me he can only order it in Comp Seats with that combination. I told him his order log is incorrect and that you can get the GT2 seats in suade as long as you get the steering wheel in suade. This is what the online guide says, not to mention a bunch of photos online. He said he will check in the morning. Any one back me up? Thanks
There is so much confusion going on I have a feeling the only we will know, is when the car comes in...See what we wind up with...It'll be a surprise !
Interesting GT2 description. It makes you realize that even if you order 3LT trim level, you get both Napa and Mulan, not all Napa. Is that right? (As for the micro-fiber steering wheel, I was headed in that direction, but with leather seating surfaces. Can't do it. Might do that post-delivery, but wonder what the cost would be.)
Thought the same thing until the order was placed and found out that's not the case. Comp seats require the micro fiber wheel...
You get perforated leather back and bottom competition seats and a smooth leather steering wheel in the 2LT and 3LT trims when you select the competition seats. These seats will have patches of fabric on the upper and lower bolsters. IF you want suede for the back and bottom of the comp seats then you have to get the suede pkg ($595) which will also make the steering wheel suede. These seats will also have the patches of fabric on the upper and lower bolsters.

You make a very good point that I didn’t think about regarding the display seats being the 1LT
MY 2 cents... the "Comp" seats are "track oriented", but not FIA certified racing seats.. mostly a style statement... if you like the look, and find them supremely comfortable, great, but do not mistake them for a full containment seat for serious track work... you can install a real race seat (bolt-in, bolt out in a couple hours for about $1000 +/- much cheaper, and much safer, and then use a more street oriented seat day to day.
but dont forget to gut the original seat of its wiring harness... or order another seat ( not sure if the Vette will allow ordering just the wiring harness) or no airbags for you... I run Cobra Suzuka GT kevlar racing seats in my SS 1LE...

I again opted out of the comp seats due to the increased chance of not being comfortable. I’m not going to the track so it’s sort of a waste. Just liked the look of them and for an extra $500 it wasn’t a crazy upgrade.
Also curious if anyone has sat in the competition seats or felt what they're like for a smaller person. I have a 30" waist and am about 150lbs. I have factory recaros in my evo that feel great on the street, but I fly out of them on the track.

Yes, my research indicates that for C7 with 1LT, disconnecting the connector simply disables the airbag.... which you want if you install 5/6 points...I have 1LT, so all good. WIth 2/3LT, the mirrors and steering column are tied in, so you have to "fool" them with a resister, or some other kludge... check the Comp/Perf forum.... I'd assume the C8 will be similar, but it is an issue.
And yes, the Comp seat is probably safer than a GT1/2 seat with harnesses, but not ideal... what's your spine worth?
I'm not telling anybody what to do, simply pointing out that if you plan to track the car, installing a full race seat is not that hard, and is probably cheaper than the Comp Seat option... my guess is for alot of us, the Comp seats are probably not real comfortable, and can be hard to get into and out of.... day to day....
I placed my order last week. 2lt trim, natural interior, Comp seats and it specifically references leather wheel.
I have my purchase order in front of me and with the 3LT it shows N26,suede steering wheel and suede inserts, natural interior...The N26 is required with the Comp seats in 3LT..or so it says on my order...According to the order guide leather is an option, but the system is not accepting it..
