That is, both the seating surface and the wheel are either both suede or both leather.

Not true. It is suede seating surfaces that trigger the requirement for N26 suede wheel, not the type of seat. I ordered comp seats without suede anything.

Talked to Mike the head interior designer about the seats. That’s actually why I drove to the NCM this morning. He said the GT2 uses a higher density foam similar to the C7’s competition seats. The GT2 west is noticeably more firm due to the foam and if you like the current comp seats this is the seat to choose. I’m actually going to change my order tomorrow from the GT1 seat to the GT2 seat based on what I noticed. I was told the GT2 seat was the preferred seat and it definitely looks better too. $1495 better, no, but it splits the difference better the GT3 and GT1 seats.

From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

what sucks is that dealerships don't have all 3 seats sitting in a mock up....expensive maybe but not really (not even 6k for all three seats), look how many people would come to your dealership to test out the seats and then place their order with you since they're already there.

If you order a 1LT with comp seats which have the textile fabric it does force you to the suede steering wheel. This is what I ordered and am stuck with a $595 suede wheel that I don’t want. See #5 note

I am still sticking with the GT2 at the moment instead of the Comp seats. But wonder if taller people will fit better in the comp seats than the GT2.

Right? That’s the color combo I’m choosing. Those are the 2GT’s correct? Not the Comps?

See there again! I want suede seat inserts and not the suede steering wheel.

I just don’t get the crumbs catcher in the front of the seat. Lol!

Ive heard 1.5-2” more head room with the comps because of less padding on the bottom. I’m 6’6” and ordered them for a better fit I hope

^ true but then the next question is will everyone fit in the comp seats? I know I’ll be fine. Just don’t know how different the comfort is between comp seats and GT2. And where did you find out you get 1.5”-2” more with the comp seats?

If you are anything like the average Corvette buyer, (over 60, 40+ lbs overweight...lol) and you aren't really tracking your new $80K car, a lot... Just pass on the comp seats. Even going to cars and coffee isn't going to be comfy...

Sorry, tried to find where I saw the height difference but can’t find it. After seeing it is why I changed to the comp seats because of my height. Dealer confirmed that comp seats would give more headroom. If you will look at the three seats together in a pic, you will notice that the comp seats are noticeably thinner so to speak on the bottom cushion

On the order forum. It says they are heated and cooled.

The competition seats come with cloth because they're meant for track use. The cloth is more durable to prevent wear.

LT1 competition seats are all cloth. LT2/LT3 are leather with the cloth inserts on high wear surfaces.

The cloth is there because it’s more grippy for track use. It’ll keep you in place while cornering.
