Default Competition seats

Ordered a 3LT and just recently changed GT2 seats to the competition. Is it worth it for an extra $500? Anyone have more information on the competition seats? Still heated/cooled with 3LT?

I assume you’ve not seen them in person. I was at the Matick reveal Friday night. They had them on display. I was disappointed with material they use in the comp seat. Looked like cloth Material from a traverse or equinox. Barely any leather. Not even suede insets. And you can’t get them in two tone. Unless they change sometbing for 21 or 22, I’m going with the GT2 seats with suede inserts combo.

I’ve seen them, but it’s been awhile. I’d want all leather anyways. Just wasn’t sure if it were worth the extra $500 or not.

just from looking at the pics I don't really see a 1500 premium from GT1 to GT2 let alone Competition. I have Competitions in my C7 and don't regret it at all, they look and feel great but since I'm not tracking my car, why spend the extra 1500-2000 especially if it does absolutely nothing for the resale value?

I just don’t like that the competition seats aren’t all leather and have the fabric on it. Just wasn’t sure if it were worth the $500 or not.

I'm ordering the competition seats in my 2LT trim and they are leather except for a portion of the side and bottom bolsters (according to the online config), which are the textile fabric.

The point of the competition seats is the larger bolstering for track use. If you care about being more comfortable the GT2 is a better option.

The competition seats come with cloth because they're meant for track use. The cloth is more durable to prevent wear.

LT1 competition seats are all cloth. LT2/LT3 are leather with the cloth inserts on high wear surfaces.

I am literally in the same boat. I want the competition seats because they look amazing with the 3LT natural interior. What is the cloth portion? The outside black peice? Is it cheap looking? Also, are they heating/cool as well? Ugh I’m stuck too....

It looks like just the outside portions are leather and the seat and back rest are cloth which I’m not a fan of.

Unless you get the suede steering wheel and then they are suede on the inside of the seats with some textile fabric in the bolsters....I think...looking at the configurator

The Torch Red C8 in the pavilion at Carlisle has the Comp Seats. They were a combination of microfiber, leather and the textile fabric. Maybe the picture I've inserted can help.

I have no idea why you would want the comp seats and leather. Makes no sense at all.. I never one had a leather seating surface in any or my ACTUAL race cars....lol I actually don't like leather seats. THey are hotter in summer, colder in winter, don't heat well when you want heat...

Besides, the comp seats are built for jockeys. I'm 6'1" and about 215 lbs. I don't fit in them very well anymore... And judging by most of the guys I saw at Carlisle, neither will they... ;-)

I don't see cloth seats as cheap, I see them as practical and functional.

I agree. Just didn’t know how the comp seats were fitting which I don’t have a problem with my other passengers might. Didn’t know if it were worth the extra $500.

"Jockey" jvp reporting in here: yes. They're significantly more snug than the C7 Comp Seats. By a good deal, mostly due to the side and thigh bolster/supports. They're perfect for little guys like me, but will be quite obnoxious for larger-framed folks.

Its the opposite. In this image the tan center is leather (suede is optional), and the black is the cloth.

Default Competition Seats not ventilated

According to the Corvette interior designers at Carlisle the Competition seats are not ventilated because of the performance fabric.

I have not seen the C8 seats yet, but I have competition seats in my ZR1, and in my Z06 b4 that & I love them...… any reason to believe that these will be that much different than the C7 comp seats as far as how they fit & feel ?

I have comp seats on my C8 order now, but you guys are making me second guess if I should change to GT2...…...
