It doesn't matter if the car is said to make 495 hp or 1000. All that matters is how it performs. Period. Outrageous dyno results don't make it any faster.
Love this web site if you have something to say negative this is the right place!! I’ve owned 10 corvettes and keep coming back. Good night all👍👍
Lately it's been if you have something stupid to say this is the right place. SAE certified tested engines that line up with the track performance and then some incompetent dyno pull that doesn't line up with the performance and some are actually foolish enough to believe it instead. Walt Disney is dead and we're all out of magic dust, consequently a 650 hp LT2 doesn't exist, come to grips.
Their dyno is broken and they were too dumb to notice.
No... they weren't too dumb. They are fake news now and ran the story for clicks... look at all the chatter it's created. Next, they'll get another C8, fix the dyno but not tell you, dyno the car at a realistic power figure and then run a scathing scandalous article about how GM sent a 'factory ringer' out and then all the morons on the internet will say that the 2.8 0-60 and 11.1 1/4 were only because it was a factory ringer.... and clicks will be had... many many clicks.

If they did that then they better hope subsequent C8 tests don't confirm their original test or they will look even more foolish.

And how many of the blind sheep that swallowed their initial load of crap would view them foolish or say hmmmmm, why with a 150 hp discrepancy can a car produce the exact same 1/4 mile time AND trap speed? No, they would post some other illogical view instead.
I am on GM Corvette Configurator, someone please advise on where I select the 650+HP engine, as I do not see the box,,, I was on the fence, but this additional HP pushed me over,,, can I get a discount if I buy three, or more??

Its on the visualizer web site, not the configurator site.
It cleary reads the bottom of the page next to the asterisk ****.
"Two things are going to happen in the next 90 seconds" First half of you will kill yourselves with 650 horsepower and second if true hp, Chevy will dial back the real production hp so they have somewhere to go with later models. You have all been eating mushrooms!!!
GM forgot to de-tune or locked the computer when they gave it to Motor Trend to test. The reality is the C8 showed the HP on the quarter mile runs. I would take quarter mile time over any dyno numbers.GM showed how we got robbed all these years in the exotic world.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
