hi all, been hashing over getting c8 next year or when available. but started thinking about a couple of things,1 in the c7 you can just reach back and grab something from the back even put your small dogs back there wont help me i have great danes i know not a big deal but 2 isolating the passenger so it looks like there in a different car. with the info center tilted to driver it looks as though the passenger couldnt help with anything i think that takes away from passengers fun in the vet. and with the c7 prices dropping like a rock you can get a grand sport lt2 for high fiftys to low sixtys. dont know whats your thoughts
My thoughts are you should think about what you want and then decide. You don't need random people on the internet to help you. Get what you want and what will make you happy.

Thinking of getting a new C7 crossed my mind too. I currently have a 2014 coupe and thought about saving a few dollars. Actually went to my dealer and looked at a few. My sales person asked me one question that sealed the deal for me on a C8. He asked me what I would think the first time I saw a C8 and I was driving a C7. Put a deposit on a C8.
OP, I agree with your comment about access to stuff behind the driver and passenger. I haven't sat in a C8 but it does appear that the passenger compartment is well separated from the driver. That can be good or bad depending on what the driver expects from the passenger.
I am having second thoughts as well. should I get a coupe or convertible....... what color should I get, Blade Silver, Long Beach Red, or Accelerate Yellow....... decisions are so hard.

That salesman knows how to push the buyer's buttons.
I'm going to drive my C7 for another year or so. A new C7 wouldn't really give me that much over what I have now, so I can't see spending the money on that. But if you don't currently have a C7, it's a valid option. Both cars involve trade offs, and neither will meet everyone's needs.
I drive a 'vert, so don't have access to the storage from inside the car. Hasn't really been an issue for me. I have sat in the passenger seat of several C8s, and didn't really feel like I was isolated from the driver. The wall of buttons isn't really that high. But it would be difficult, if not impossible, for the passenger to do anything on the infotainment system. OTOH, they'll have a much better view out back with the rear view camera system.
If you do go with the the C7... Don't buy a new one.. Buy one of the thousands of lightly used garage queens that are going at fire sale prices... You may even want to wait a little if you can to get the best deal.
I was tempted to get a 19 for a split second as the strike went on. Than I realized it will be obsolete to me, personally, as soon as the 2020's start hitting the streets. I have owned mid engine cars, not reaching in the "back" does not bother me.
Wow, that was a good one.
I like how you use your other log in FringbirdAloha to like all your stupid posts.
Oh, and can you edit this and post a picture of your silver C8? I can't find it in this thread. It's in every other one
