Put them on a road course instead of this hillbilly straight line racing.
"Hillbilly" stuff. Gotta love the humor in this type of condescending arrogance. Sorry my friend but the overwhelming majority of cars guys do not engage in road course racing and could actually care less about it. Straight line metrics are how performance cars are measured. 0-60,1/4 mile, trap MPH. The Hellcat is a really fun straight line car that appeals to more than just "Hillbillys".
I don't think Bobby can drive stick all that well. He drove the C8 in the first set of races then switched to the hellcat. Would be a better comparison if a better driver was in the kitty. Either way the C8 hooks and books!
Sorry, not familiar with Dodge products at all, is that Hellcat a Base model? The interior looks “Plastic Fantastic” with a plastic dash, plastic door cards, etc...
Yeah so maybe he should get someone other than his 16 year old cousin in the other car (in both cases). Definitely the HC pulls on the C8 if it can hook.

It's an early model Hellcat so yeah it is mostly a standard Challenger interior.
Here is the thing, the Hellcat is all about the engine It has a big spacious interior, nice comfortable backseat. It's a cruiser with a ton of power. He also paid $100K for his C8 and like $42K for a very low mileage Hellcat. So yeah there is that. Throw $10-20K in mods on that Hellcat and it would be a beast.
I have driven Hellcat's numerous times and they are not for me, but they are really fast cars. The stock tires are a joke and if you are driving around in colder weather (like he is) you will never be able to hook.
That video is the main reason it would be hard to handle going on Rallys and drives. Everyone we go out with has some over 100k superfast car or even suv and no way would that fly. Stop light runs are infrequent here. And it they are? They run out over 120mph on a desolate hwy somewhere.
Even the electric high end cars are just ridiculous now.
The C8Z is the only way I would give my C7Z up. Great job on zero to 60 but 495 470 is only taking you so far and who knows how much this DCT can take yet?
the hellcat is like riding in a 700hp sofa from the 70s. I personally cannot stand them. A manual one makes it even worse. As it bobs up and down on each super slow and long shift.

drag radials and a Hellcat and you have good value hillbilly fun... if that’s what you’re in to

Probably. You can dress it up about as much as you want. Quick look at Dodge site didn't see dash material options. It's probably there somewhere. They are trying to build a semi-affordable hot rod. It's good to see a relatively budget model available instead of forcing guys that just want to go fast into buying a lot of dress-up stuff they may not want.
The interior (outside of the center stack on later models) is so old..
I had a charger for my rental car for a week while at spring mountain. It was an RT with SRT appearance package. I hated that thing. I would've taken a 3.6 impala or even a 300c over it in a heartbeat. But people love them... I don't.
It's TRUE but unless a hardcore straight line speed freak who wants to drive around on Hoosiers or MTs it's nicer in the 5.7 hemi version as a daily lol.

Yeah, I get that. I am not a Hellcat guy either. Have driven them several times and they definitely not for me but fun cars, especially used for the money. The newer models like the Redeye have improved handling, but the car is still a boat. But there is no doubt about the power and with a few simply mods you have a 1K HP car relatively easy.
