I’m new to this page so sorry if I’m doing this wrong but wanted to share my plans. I’ll probably get 50% hate and 50% approval for this but I am getting Vertical doors for the C8. Not sure if I’ll be the first and would love to see pictures of ones if there’s any out there.
I picked it up early March and the second I opened the doors from under the side scoops I thought it would be cool to see. So I will be taking mine to Vertical Doors shop for them to use it as a model for creating the kit. Will definitely post pictures here when it’s done!

Should be done around mid-May!
Be careful, I see that a lot of the vertical doors are actually more inconvenient than normal doors. They don't get very high so you have to duck when getting in or out. They may protrude more than the standard door when they're open. Then you have to worry about fit and rattles. Good luck
Please post pictures and a review of the process as well as fit and your opinion after having them installed. A friend had them installed on his C7, and loves it. You can open the normal way or swing up if you feel like it. Good luck.
Might as well smoke in it and "stance" the suspension while you're at it. Maybe some purple underglows? Don't forget the fuzzy dice hanging from the mirrors and some skin-tone truck-nuts from the rear.
If you could have them fabricate a McLaren type setup (dihedral doors), then it would be an amazing upgrade - i.e. never having to worry about opening your door into another car or getting into your car if some clown parks SUPER close to your door on purpose.
However, most "Lambo Door" applications actually force you to open the door outward first approximately 4-6 inches and then rotate upward (which is sort of similar to a Koenigsegg…), so that version would be a no-go for me.
Can't wait to see what your shop comes up with - good luck!

This is absolutely correct...I'd like to see a true Lamborghini or McLaren hinge.
They really only make sense on cars that have challenging means of ingress and egress. Like getting in and out of a Carbon Fiber Monocell. That being said I'd try and find one that has a Dihedral motion setup so you don't hit cars parked next to you. A kit can really cheapen the look of your car if it's not done right. Also, I thought I would like the doors on my McLaren more than I do. Sometimes I feel like an ******* opening it in front of a crowd etc. I shouldn't be ashamed of my hard work but I feel bad sometimes. YMMV. Good luck!
Lambo doors belong on Lambo's. McLaren doors belong on Mclarens, Gullwing doors belong on the cars they come with. Koenigsegg doors belong on everything else.
I mean they are the best door opening idea for a car....period.
