There are as many renderings of the new color as there are posts. None are actual pictures of a car painted with the color, just photoshopped, "color adjusted". Even the car and the"color chip" in your post are different. The color issued at the recent "virtual bash" by Tadge and others was much more orange that what the marketing people have been issuing. The red mist may by like the AY, you need to see it to know what it really is..

Red Mist is my choice but if the red mist is in fact more orange than red that wouldn't make sense coming from GM and being that they already have an orange color. I was thinking more of a lighter red from the long beach red. Maybe there will be more information on the red mist when I conduct my order this Thursday.

In Model Years 1999 through 2004 GM had changed the paint codes applied to Corvette. From 1993 through '98 and 2010 to present GM had applied paint code WA9075 (Torch Red) to Corvette. However, from 1999 through 2004 MY paint code WA7753 was applied to the Corvette. Now, wouldn't that suggest a discernibly different paint hue/color was used during those interim years?
