Good for him, I like him, he's one of the few car people YouTubers who isn't annoying as all f'k.....cough* Stradman, cough* Savage Garage......
Well people hate and get jealous over the dumbest things.
Imagine someone actually doing good for himself. He's a corvette guy. He could have bought any other cars and still got himself a C8, C7ZR, then the C6ZR etc.
Then people get mad and hate him because he has all these cars lol...

Sounds like that fills you with pride because he bought a Corvette.
It doesn't enrich my life if GM sold a few extra units to someone. You didn't praise him for the boats, RV, huge homes, and opulent furniture he also must have purchased with his YT money. Or the other more expensive cars he definitely purchased. If I was really rich, I would also make video's of Corvettes, because those buyers would love me enough to click on my video's to make me enough money to own the Ferrari's and Lambo's that I really like.

Actually no, i'm kind of mad he didn't spend his money elsewhere lol.
I was pretty much indirectly inserting sarcasm in that post to appease most of the "hail to the corvette" members here.
And i think he does have a lambo, a URUS, unless he sold it already. But i have been slacking on watching all his videos as of late. I'm subscribed to a lot of channels similar to his.
Fact is, and this was already like 2 years ago, they stated he was getting 50 grand A MONTH off youtube alone. So i'm sure that at least doubled by now. The dude is rich. He can buy these disposable corvettes because it's basically a write off because he's using them for youtube anyway which in turns brings him more money. If i was doing the same gig, i'd probably do the same thing.
What good is buying only ferraris and lambos if most viewers want to watch REALISTIC cars? They wanna see the corvettes, the mopars, the lifted pickup trucks because most viewers can relate to that. They don't want to watch some rich youtube kid playing around in his modified lambo or something. It is cool to watch but they can't relate. They can relate to the more attainable items. And that's how these kids make their money.
I actually thought nick wright's channel (mike's friend), will blow up more than mike's about 3 years ago. But nick wright fell off. I think it's because of the content. No one cared about his full built race car camaro.
MIke did all the right stuff. He gave people what they want and that's how he's more successful than his friend.

How is this possible when I see on here that people are ordering with a year plus wait time? I'm holding out for the Z06 but that will probably be 2025 for me since I am a peasant. What gives? I truly feel sorry for all you people getting pissed on by GM.
GM isn't pissing on anyone. The only way a dealership can somewhat predict when someone's car will be built is if the customer adds the customer selectable VIN option and the customer chooses a low VIN. YouTubers who wanted early 2020 models paid for the selectable VIN so they could get the car quickly. Same situation here. And, the dealership can't guarantee anything at this time because GM hasn't started accepting 2021 orders for production yet, so nothing is sequenced at all and dealerships don't even know their initial 2021 allocation numbers yet.

The custom VIN option has been around for a while. ZR-1 is where it became more popular. On 2019 ZR-1 of the first 100 built here are the cars that were ordered with custom vin. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 21, 50, and 66.
When the C8 came out the same thing happened. Street Speed has a good working relationship with his dealership and the General Manager. So it cost him $5,000 to get a very early car. If the ZO6 comes out in 2022 and you want one of the first ones built you need two things to make that happen. 1. a dealer with an allocation and 2. $5,000 for custom vin.
Kids videos are all the same....1) look at my new toy 2) watch me do a weak-*** roll race for a few seconds 3) buy stuff at my store so I can buy more toys
...You forgot "COLD STARTS", "MODS for my car", "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god..."
He has access to the executive team at GM. Several years ago he posted a video where he scored a 1:1 interview with Ed Welburn at GM. He posted it on Youtube.
Look I don't love the guy but it's not rocket science. He has tons of followers and millions of views a week. This is exactly the type of person GM wants to sell Corvette's to and his audience that follows him. Same with Emelia Earhardt and Cletus McFarland. All of these people are more important than the average Joe buying a Corvette even if its your 10th one in 10 years.
It's a free country if GM wants to put these folks at the front of the line they can and will. I would do the same thing if I ran GM. The Corvette faithful will just wait. They will complain, but they will wait. GM knows this.

Emilia Earhardt might look great in a Corvette, but she's been missing since before WWII.
But it would be fun if she resurfaced driving a C8 in Japan
Ameila was sporting a very nice 1936 Cord Phaeton, and she had some other very nice cars. Had she still been around in the 50's, I think she would had been driving a Corvette.
