The strangest part of this for me, is that I have never worked this hard to give someone else my money. Actually, come to think of it, this could be a Twilight Zone episode. I can see Rod Serling stepping out from behind the Bowling Green plant...."Imagine this, you thought you were buying a cool new car, but instead you meet a whole group of new friends, who have been waiting for transportation even longer than you". Now imagine, it is going to cost the average of annual salaries of two adult citizens in the state of Georgia for you to join this group, and 18 months later, you still don't have a car. You fear you may never have a new car. Stop! See the sign post up ahead, you are in the Twilight Grey Corvette Zone"

These UAW workers really do have a sweet deal. I think in the past year they have spent more days not working than working...
GM needs to find a way to keep workers busy when there are supply disruptions like this. Though I'm sure the arcane and one-sided union contracts forbid it.

Sorry guys, I know the feeling, mine was probably push back 6 months or more. I hope it is only a couple of weeks for you guys. Some of you probably were already pushed from 2020.

This is starting to sound like deja vu' all over again........ I had to live through the 2 month strike last year, followed by 2 and a half month covid shutdown, while then only running 1 shift up until the week my car was built Aug 3 week...... THEN to add insult to injury, they held the car for unknown reasons 3 weeks before shipping it to PA. Total pushback was also about 6 months.
Good news, it's TOTALLY WORTH IT in the end...... I've ALMOST forgotten about all of that.
Order was a first round allocation...... order picked up Jan 17 status 2000 then 3000........ oh yea, then they took my 5VM carbon fiber ground effects away from me after going to 3000. Took delivery Aug 31, 2020. I bought the 5VM kit online and saved money and had the enjoyment of installing it myself.

Ford tonight in earnings call announced this is going to last a while. Gonna hit production of their most popular vehicles. GM had brief announcement yesterday. GMs earnings call is I believe Monday, should say a LOT more about this at that time,
Yeah....and just about the time that Covid is over, Chips are in plentiful supply, UAW workers are happy to go to work, and the Supply chain is full again, a meteor will hit the Bowling Green Plant.

I don't know what's worse...
Waiting over a year for an allocation...
Or getting an allocation January 14th, order accepted January 21st, going to 3000 before the start of February, and now...I've joined the "3000 club for life", it appears
