There's a lot of C8s for sale ,what's up with that, seems like everybody traded in their C7s for the 8s . I guess they didn't really like them or they're trying too flip them for more then what paid too make a buck because it takes so long too get one . These are cars not houses ! I would think they would at least enjoy it , I'm not really a big fan of the 8s but, I can appreciate a nice vette and if I went through all that effort and time too get one I'd be damn if I would be selling the same year or the year after I bought it, doesn't make any sense too me. Just my opinion.
Two things: It's early in the production cycle for the C8, and they make them every day..
Also --- and I don't really know if anyone is intentionally doing this or not, but --- One could buy in to owning a C8 Z51 now as an early adopter, drive it for a year or two, then flip it for extra cash and move up to a C8 Z06.
I'm still not completely sold on the looks of the C8, especially the rear end. In the C8's defense, I didn't like the C7 either when it first came out. I think some people bought C8's just to be the first to own one or as others have said, flip them for cash. I've never been one to run out and buy the first of anything. I truly love my Z06. I'm waiting to see what the Z06 looks like. It's not so much about the horsepower to me. I never fully use what I have in my Z06. In the mean time, I'm going to enjoy my car. It makes me feel like I'm 18-years old again and always puts a smile on my face.
I owned a C7 Z06 and really liked it. Now I have a C8 and love it , best most fun car Ive ever owned. It is quicker to 100 than my Z06 handles better is easier to control has better visibility more safety features better mpg and looks even better than my Z06 which was a beautiful car. I would rate the C8 over the C7 in almost every category. What an awesome car and no its not for sale and I had to wait 16 months. But to each his own.
I feel that the C7 is the best, most fun sports or muscle car I have ever had. Of course, subject to change when i take delivery of my C8 later this week.

What percentage of the cars built so far are actually on the market ?

I feel the same way and let me say where I live (Scottsdale AZ) I see more C8's on the road then Z06. My local dealer had seven C8's in the showroom the other day and one was used with 6k miles and they still wanted $90k for it.
Most car enthusiast around here are on the fence about the new C8 and cannot tell you how many people say they look kind of like a Mclaren. Now mind you I see at least one Mclaren on the road here daily so not sure if that is a compliment or not... isn't it supposed to look like a Vette?
But who knows...it may grow on me but my biggest issue with the C8 is that it will never offer a manual and one of the greatest things I enjoy about my Z06 is rowing through the gears...it is Utopia to me!!!
They seem to look way better in person. Every time I see one on the street I'm impressed.
Exactly. I can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, the C8 just does not photograph well from most angles. However, "in the flesh" they are absolutely striking, almost overwhelming. In person, the car just screams "exotic". Like I said in a previous thread, the C7 is a classic beauty, like a movie star pin-up from the 40s, while the C8 grabs you and makes you stare; you can't help it...You just cannot take your eyes off of her (especially when she moves) Much like the stage act in a Bangkok nightclub (okay, I may have spent a little too much time on shore patrol)...

Its a demand issue I think it’s not that they don’t like the C8 it’s that once they saw what was happening with the prices many decided they would sell there Stingrays at a profit to finance say a Z06 or E-ray or just keep the money and move on.
