My local PPF guy is quoting me $1200.00 for the front bumper & headlights. That sounds high. The same shop did my C7 in 2014 for about half that. What sort of pricing are other people getting? Am I getting ripped off?
I paid about 3K for front bumper, full hood, front fenders, headlights, Side mirrors and rocker panels. SunTek clear PPF.

By me the prices were $1995 for full front (bumper, head lights, hood, front fenders, & mirrors) plus 10% Corvette discount - so ~$1,800. Xpel Ultimate. $500 more for the “impact areas” rockers, rear brake duct area. Entire car was $5,995.
Ok....this is going to cause some to say "BS" but my guy at the shop I have been getting my window tint from for the last 30 years is doing the following for me:
EXPEL (yes, the real stuff)
FULL Bumper
FULL hood
FULL front two fenders
Both Headlights
Both Mirrors
Both Door Sills
...$1499 (Yes, I have it in writing)
I drop it off tonight and should get it back this weekend.
Excellent price, but add in the lower outside side skirts including the edge of the boomerang.

I just went to a highly rated local (NYC suburb) XPEL installer. I was quoted $2,499 for full hood and fenders, front bumper, headlights, side mirrors and rocker panels for my 2021 RM C8 HTC. The entire vehicle was $5,900. If I go for the entire car (which includes full paint correction), they will throw in ceramic coating at no additional charge. They also said they would install radiator screens if I supply them. I was originally going to do the more limited coverage, but I think he may have convinced me to do the entire car.
I have been doing some pricing for My HTC since it’s starting to get close. A partial front end; partial hood, partial front fenders, front bumper and mirrors. In the Chicago area I was quoted $1060.00
Because I’m going to do a museum delivery, I checked with the place at the track. Now, get this: they want $2000.00 for the same coverage!

A lot of "partials" in that description. Most seem to agree that you want to avoid partial hood wraps with a PPF seam across it. I'm sure there are many variations on what really gets covered or not. We'd all be wise to get an accurate, written description upfront.

I did the exact same coverage on my C7 and it worked out fine. If you go to the Xpel site, you can see what it looks like.
Due to what i wanted out of PPF before having it done the first time, i knew *who* would be doing install before i even knew what particular film they'd be using. "Quailty costs" ain't a mere cliche in this case, IMO but everyone is different so YMMV.

I am familiar with it. I have Artic White and placement of cut lines was very important as I want to see as few dirt lines as possible over the next 10 years. A dirt line across the hood (frunk lid) is a high visibilty location. The difference in material cost for a partial frunk vs. the whole lid should also be nominal--less so than that of a C7.
Keep in mind to always buy the installer rather than price or material. There is nothing worse than a bad PPF job that you have to pay more to remove and install new material correctly. Look at the installer's work on several cars concentrating on the edges and fitment cuts. Esoteric Detail has a great video on their website to know what to look for.
