in person it appeared to me to be an awful puke color tending towards the brownish spectrum, and very difficult for me to even look at. I would say hideous.
It's a good thing you ordered a white car. If you think the edge yellow calipers looked brown, there is no telling how your brain might perceive other colors.
In reality, for most of us, it's hard to see much brown.
Yellow calipers are like painting the pumpkin on a PU truck yellow. Oh well easy to fix with some black paint.
Huh??

Didn't realize every mans wife was an expert on automotive color scheme's. Thanks for that bit of knowledge. Also, didn't realize you could "fix" any color choice with some black paint. Brilliant. Is your car black on black on black with black highlights? Would be super creative.
On a more serious note, I love the yellow calipers, and I've seen countless big $$ exotics with yellow calipers. It seems to be a very popular choice for supercars these days, and I think it makes a significant visual difference and really adds a tasteful visual pop and flare.
And I must say, I LOVE an ELB C8 with yellow calipers and that's exactly how I ordered mine. Great pics posted here.
And finally, To the OP... I think you might want to get your vision checked.
