I hope so. But if a March car is delivered in the fall in October that will make April and May tough to get in by year-end.
GM doesn't produce and deliver vehicles based on when the order goes in. Quite possible, and even highly likely that some May orders will be built before all March's are done.
Well, after a long wait, then transport from the California Dealership to WA State.....its DONE!!

I'm trying to find the bright side in a 2 week shutdown. Does anyone think that might help NCM's 2-3 week backlog help get caught up? At one point Shane was saying roughly 3 weeks after TPW to get your date for delivery. Maybe now, since there's been no cars for 2 weeks, they'll be caught up a little bit since NCM deliveries are still taking place, and when they start up again, earlier delivery dates would be available?
Maybe?
Ah probably wishful thinking. I should probably be spending more time researching snow tires.

Actually 3 week shutdown and I saw several people saying 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. I know of two that did have to wait 4 weeks. I just saw a post by Chilly4 where the wait was 5 weeks. I am confident it will help clear their backlog. They are still delivering close to 45 cars per week so during the 3 week shutdown that is 135 cars. They should be caught up after this next week. I have been following the museum delivery since February and it didn't take long for them to get behind after the Feb/Mar shutdowns. However they had an event at the NCM the week before the Bash and the Bash itself. Between those two events they lost 42 delivery spots or almost a full week. That is when they really got behind and couldn't recover. I suspect later next week or certainly the following week they won't have enough cars ready for delivery and their weekly totals will drop.
Bottom line, I believe those with NCM will have their delivery wait shortened by 1 to 2 weeks as a result of the shutdowns. Hopefully they will be able to stay caught up and all of us with the R8C option actually will be able to take delivery of our cars close to the mandatory 2 week wait time.

Well now its a 4 week shutdown per Rick Conti. Should give NCM plenty of time to get caught up by then. Sigh.
I get that they ran out of parts, or whatever. But didn't GM know that 2 weeks ago? Why bother saying we're closing for 1 week, when that wasn't even close to being true - only to close for a month?

As I said many weeks ago.... Lucky to see fall delivery if at all. I bought a Carbon Flash Z51 spoiler and a Z51 splitter that may be in the FS section soon. Ridiculous!!
5/31 now 7/6 ? Maybe I will be pushed to a 2022 and can get the low spoiler You never know could happen with the way things are going
This latest rumor may turn out to be true but I am not as certain of this one. I will wait until other sources come forward or BGA announces it. I would be happy to trade you though. If it is true my car will be built the first week of August with delivery around the end of August.
The extended plant shutdown, if confirmed by GM, certainly not welcome news for any of us.
My situation: The warranty on my current car runs out in May 2022. Ideally I wanted a replacement/C8 as soon as the warranty runs out and I was second guessing if I started the C8 process too early, but I am not regretting that decision now.
