With all the various threads on the C8's suspension/ride, mag ride vs none, z51 vs none, FE1, FE3, FE4, .... it hit me as I saw a jeep drive by, regardless of mode, possibly except FE4 in track mode, the ride has got to be superior to that of a jeep. Talking comfort, ... obviously not handling with possibly the exception of off road.
Coming from the Jeep forums, people pay big money to make the ride worse.
It’s an interesting culture shock going from Corvette forums to Jeep forums and back again.

I rented a Wrangler Sahara for two weeks earlier this month out west. I drove nearly 2500 miles in that, I went off roading, interstate driving and roads in the boonies. I would say the ride comfort (bumps and stuff) wasn't bad at all in the specific road conditions. I was fairly impressed. And off road, the handling was incredible, that thing could climb nearly everything!
Speaking of handling, I'd say that's where the normal road driving obviously differed and the Jeep was understandably very lacking. Lot of those small town roads with pretty cool curves had me wishing for a sports car. Also another negative on the driving experience, the insane amount of cabin noise from the road and wind. Crazy loud inside the car.
Got 2016 Ram Power Wagon with long, semi-soft springs. Smoothest vehicle I ever had. Tow rating is low, but it’s a Caddy with seating for six, and hauls bunch o’ crap.
I have a 2021 Rubicon unlimited fully loaded, different ride but having both is a golden ticket to the best of both worlds, on and off road. The premium sound system in the Rubicon is beyond outstanding and it's only a 2 grand option.
We got rid of our Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary Edition. Had a V6, but drank gas like I owned an Arab country. The EPA rating showed 25 MPG on the highway, ours wouldn't get 25 MPG on the way to the ground if you shoved it out of an airplane. Nice enough vehicle, but we don't miss it in the least. It was big and heavy and it accomplished nothing more than any other SUV.

I have an ordered Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe I pickup next week. It's a plug in hybrid with 370hp 470tq stock power. Can't wait, loved our last Jeep. Perfect compliment with for the C8.
I’m on my 2nd Wrangler. Reliability is fine and it’s worth more now than when I bought it 2 years ago. My last Rubicon ended up costing me less than $150 a month after factoring my equity recaptured after I sold it.

To my surprise, my Rubicon’s stereo is the most impressive OEM radio I’ve ever heard. Crazy for a vehicle that has a tent for a roof.
No issues here other than minor warranty fixes. Considering the bad rap FCA gets, my Jeep (2019 w/30k miles) has given me less issues than any of my GM vehicles ever did. Especially when you consider all the things I plowed/bounced through/over while living in South Dakota for a few years
Current trade-in values makes what I paid look like a steal too! My wife just got her new 2021 back in February and loves the thing; keep saying how its her favorite vehicle ever.
Chrysler Pentastar V6 engines are pretty damn tough, proven, & durable. We'll see how these new Italian turbocharged engines stand up to the test of time though.
I paid 4% under invoice + $8000 tax credit. Ended up being roughly $43K and change of a pretty loaded Rubicon 4xe. In terms of reliability it's my second Wrangler and the first one was bulletproof. Show me another brand new offroad vehicle with this capability for $43K brand new with all the features (Alpine sound system, LED lighting, 8.4" touch screen, heated seats and steering wheel, etc, etc).
I will be waiting....
