I will be ordering my new 2022 C8 in Hypersonic Gray with the 2-tone red/black GT2 seats.
Hoping to get it before Christmas.....will make a fantastic present.
HSG seems to have a lot more metallic in it than Shark Grey. Which would give it a brighter appearance in most lighting conditions.
I agree, Shark Gray was much darker overall. Hypersonic Gray looks more like a dark liquid silver but deft has a lot of "travel" to where it looks more Gray depending on the lighting.
I think the post that called it a darker blade silver is the best description.

I saw it today. The pictures that have been posted really can't compare to seeing it live. The Chevy guy took the panel out in the sun, lots of metallic in the paint. If you are ordering without seeing it live, I don't think one will be disappointed. I stood around for 15 minutes or so and the car basically got all the attention and everyone talked about that color. The Chevy guy told me it had been like that with that car all day. If you're into gray, its a really nice shade. Its what I'm getting!

If I go hypersonic I'm leaning toward black interior, roof and nacelles. I like the all-business vibe that gives off.
Did you consider adding the carbon flash low spoiler option? Will match the rest of the accents. My new build will be 2LT HG leaning black wheels red calipers and CF spoiler/splitter package. The silver wheels do look nice too!
