And some lack the confidence to try different things to make the car more theirs. Which is also perfectly fine.
What does confidence have to do with it? You either appreciate the C8 for what it is and what you purchased or you chance it for any number of reasons.
I’ve seen a few without the front and rear and the front looks totally different. Is it really sacral edge to remove the badges?
post pics if you removed yours. And what’s your thoughts on removing them.
I took the letters off as the rear is busy enough and to make detailing easier.
Some are OEM "purists," while others want to personalize a vehicle, sometimes radically so. With a few exceptions, like upgraded aftermarket wheels and perhaps an occasional bolt-on like a cat-back aftermarket exhaust, I'm an OEM purist. Even then, I try to stick to a classic look in keeping with the OEM style.
All OEM badges always stay on. They are part of a vehicle's history.

KAJ, you’ve been consistent with your “OEM or bust” faith that GM knew what it was doing and change comes at the owner’s peril. Nothing wrong with that, the car is beautiful as built at BG, just as there’s nothing wrong with tweaking one or two things to fit a particular owner’s esthetic choice, particularly with something as inherently reversible as removing a badge held on with 3M tape.
Foosh, your post is more of a puzzler - talking esthetics only (setting aside the exhaust replacement, which is a pretty “radical” departure from OEM) how can a person be an “OEM purist” when they replace the factory wheels with aftermarket? Reminds me of people running Cragers on their 60s and 70s muscle cars - period-correct for sure but in no world can they be considered OEM.
After seeing the rear "corvette" script taken off and given the 'quality' of the lettering, I now have an afternoon project ahead of me. Always liked the cleaner look
I am getting the twin stripes on mine. I am thinking of removing the front badge and the stingray. I think it looks cleaner without the badges when you have the stripes. The stripes sort of hide the badges anyway. I may leave the Corvette letters on the rear. Btw, that is not my interior. I got the two tone. just forgot to change it on the builder. top with badges, bottom without. excuse my terrible photoshop skills.

Bro, you should totally do it! Here’s a better pic of the back.

I agree, certainly nothing wrong with it and that's what I stated in my below previous post.

Whatever gives the individual owner the most enjoyment out of their C8 is the correct answer.
