Understand from NCM that there is a large batch of Corvettes on hold as they need wheel replacement GM is working diligently to get the proper wheels from the supplier. Mine was built on 11/05 Just the stock wheels
I don’t know if I buy that. There are probably 10,000 sets of stock wheels available from owners who swapped them out ASAP after delivery.

Well I've got you beat. I've been on quality hold since 11/2 - 16 days and counting. And yes, it sucks for us to see those being built after us and the slowdown already being delivered.
My 2LT Z51 Rapid Blue Coupe with HighWing, Trident wheels Suede Inserts and Napa Black Interior, Full Carbon Interior kit was built on November 2nd as well. 17 days now and counting and no shipping. Wonder if any of those parts I mentioned are in short supply during those two weeks or had QC issues. If it is wheels like the post above states, could it be Trident Wheels? Did you order any of those extras with your build? ? I am currently stuck at 4000 according to Chevy Chat but Macmulkin Shows 3800. Hoping by the end of the first week of December it arrives at the CD in NorCal.

Just an FYI I am from BG KY and know have some insight as all my family is there. I was told last night there are 200 cars with that had scrratched wheels come in and because everything is brought in JIT for the build sheets these have to wait on a seperate delivery to replace or they production new vehicles gets out of whack on top of this problem. Not sure if any of this is true just sharing some close to the scene intel I was told. My car builds monday if all goes well but you never know
sorry, my sarcasm didn’t come through enough. I was joking about the fact that everyone seems to hate the stock wheels and there must be a ton available from people who didn’t want them. Wasn’t really throwing doubt on your comment.

Mine is a 2LT, GT2 seats, MSRC, front lift, red interior and yes, grey Trident wheels. Although this sucks, if it was just a wheel issue that would be welcome news. Being delivered to MM and then shipped to me via Intercity. At this point, I would be happy to get it before Christmas.
I just have the black machined edge wheels, so I don't think that's my hold-up.

Seems like that would be weird, no? My wheels get damaged, so they set it aside for 2 weeks while they produce other cars, but can't throw a new set of wheels on mine?

Might explain why more recent builds seem to be getting through.
Fingers crossed for those (like me) taking Museum Delivery and have a “window” where it needs to happen…

Whether it's wheels or something else, it's been reported numerous times that they won't stop the line just for our cars that are on hold. That would create even more chaos for the whole production process. We, unfortunately, end up taking it in the end for the good of the whole. Sucks to be us right now.
And what really sucks for me, personally, is that I have already paid for the car as well as have registered the car and paid taxes for it. That probably means my warranty is already ticking away.

I totally agree with that concept, but slapping on some new wheels does not seem like a "production stop required" fix. Heck, it could probably be done at the museum across the street and not even have to bother the factory workers.
of course that comment is if it IS wheels. I do agree if it's something else more complicated, then just bad luck on our part. But when do ours get taken care of? Not like they have lulls in production due to low demand

As has been posted above, BGA works on Just In Time deliveries. They can't just grab wheels off of the line as then you are just perpetuating the problem. If it is wheels, or any parts for that matter they have to wait for surplus parts to arrive so as not to upset the assembly line.
Got it, so if they don't have "extra" to address whatever issue mine is having, it sits until they do. Makes sense, thanks for clarifying and if I missed that point above.

If it is merely scratched wheel(s) as has been rumored you’re think they’d give the buyer the choice of taking delivery and getting replacements slapped on when available. Does not appear that common-sense option (which John58 alluded to when the heated seats/steering wheel issue was happening) is something GM wants to allow. Darned shame…
Heck, mine will be a DD. Scratches will appear on my wheels sooner or later anyway.
