Great looking car!!! I'm very happy for you! At the same time, your car pisses me off. Yours was built two weeks after mine with the same wheels I ordered. Yours gets delivered and mine is still stuck in QC hell due to the damaged wheel issue.
Museum delivery dept. revealed there was a batch of wheels delivered that have cosmetic damage. The tires are mounted and balanced by an outside supplier and shipped to the factory. Apparently it was not one style but a mix. Why the delay in replacements is the question.

Oh I agree. But what also is in question is why they replaced yours first over mine. Same wheels yet yours was built two weeks after mine and over 1400 cars later. They should have replaced the wheels according to build date. Not mad at you, it's great you got your car. My frustration is at GM and BGA. This debacle just continues from lack of communication about the issue to begin with to replacing the damaged wheels not by order of build date. Unbelievable.
Edit - In looking at the spreadsheet it looks like you weren't caught up in the wheel issue as your car was delivered to the dealer shortly after your build date.
Still pissed at GM and BGA for all of this though.
The wheels scheduled for my build were not part of the damaged batch. Just in time manufacturing schedules components weeks in advanced when the order is accepted by production control.

Again, as what has been posted is even though his car has the same wheels as yours it went down the production line 2 weeks later and his wheels were installed based on JIT inventory. Your wheels are in a rotation to be replaced when extras arrive. Sorry for your hold status but this has been addressed many times.

I fully understand that. I made an error when looking at the spreadsheet and realize he is not a part of the issue. And I fully understand this has been addressed many times. What got me wound up this morning is another persons car being shipped in the past couple of days (noted in another post) that was caught up in the same wheel debacle as I. He has the same wheels as mine and was built after mine, but his car has since been shipped and mine is still on QC hold. What many don't understand is that for many of us caught up in this have already paid for the car (paid for mine 4 weeks ago come Thursday), have already registered the car and are already paying insurance on it yet we have no car. And before anyone says why would someone do this is because you have to if not taking delivery from the dealer itself. GM never should have invoiced the dealer and sent the CO if they knew the car was not complete and ready to ship. All back to the lack of communication issue. Rant off, carry on

I think I am in the same situation (built 11/17).
I cannot think of a single business reason for GM to not be crystal clear in communicating to MM and the Museum why mine (and perhaps others, or those who are now in "D" for other reasons) went from "B" to "D" status. Cost? Competitive Advantage? Public Image? Liability? None of those would seem to be impacted by transparency. Am I being too demanding?

I concur. 11/05 at 3800. Car is paid for and insured. Pretty much takes the excitement out of the purchase when you pay for an item, then it sits for a month, with no updates.

Your comments are spot on with my feelings. I'm at day 30 on my hold and counting.

Me too, concierge updated with 4000 said she couldn’t see anything else, told me to contact my dealer, who can’t see anything. Remember the old saying , the blind leading the blind. Built 11/10 #6525

You guys are just babies in the QC hold. Mine was built 11/2, VIN 5772. Since I'm using Intercity to ship my car out west there is a good possibility I won't see my car until next year as Intercity is only sending one more truck out west (slight chance of two) before they take a holiday break. BGA is not making for a Merry Christmas in my household.
