@Dave O When I emailed Lori at NCM on Monday I was at 4B00 status but now it seems they pulled my card..I hope she is wrong but I guess its a waiting game at this point
Same thing happened to me today -- so I guess the notation on the spread sheet needs to be changed (or maybe 4B00 does not mean what we thought it did). It sucks big time...
Maybe I'll get some good news on Monday. There's a lotta rescheduling to be done this week (and some money lost) if in fact GM did screw us over....

The email I got TODAY from Shane at the museum said, and I quote, “Your car remains on hold at the Plant. It has not yet been released for shipment. Appointment remains tentative pending release of the car.”
Not exactly encouraging. What the hell could it be “on hold” for? Now 10 days after the damned thing rolled off the line! And the 17th was well past the wheel fiasco. Yet it sits less than 1/2 mile from the Museum. It is quite unnerving…
I feel your pain. I was originally a 10/25 TPW and scheduled an 11/12 museum pickup. The slowdown pushed my build date to 11/3, which I thought was plenty of time for the car to make it across the street. I got the same email as you on 11/8, and we kept in touch each day until 11/10 when they still didn’t have the car and my appointment was cancelled.
I have the non-trident black wheels, so I don’t think I was part of the wheel issue, but still, my car didn’t make it to the museum until 11/22.
I’m set to get mine on Friday now.
good luck to you!

Thanks. Having followed all this for the last month I had become aware it was probably NOT the supplier. Thing is, the wheel problem likely was uncovered and solved before mine was built (SN 7261). I really hope they can fix whatever it is and get it across the street in the next couple days or it really wreaks havoc with our schedules.
Looks like it's down to me and you in the "race" to see who is the final NCM delivery for the September allocations! I think I'm pretty solidly locked into Friday, fingers crossed!

@RandelB I'm officially at 5000 car will be picked up this Friday!!
Did Shane or Lori confirm that for you this morning or did the dealer call you?
I may now be the last HSG delivered on the sheet…..due to travel, even if my car ships today, I won’t be able to pick it up until 12/10 or 12/11 the earliest.

Good for you . You suffered longer than me (so far )
Seems completely random. I note from the spreadsheet that cars with VINs just before AND just after mine have already been delivered.
I think I hit the trifecta. 2 weeks for my Feb 19 deposit check to travel 300 miles to MM via USPS; essentially (but for the Canadian guy) the last TPW of the September allocation group; and now this. Had I known that I was targeted for bad karma or something, I'd have just ordered from Kerbeck (at the time) and skipped the whole Museum thing (Ciocca are only about an hour away). It's really becoming an anti-climax given approaching winter and all the "hurry up and wait" baloney. The delays really are no big deal if all you have to do is wait for your car to arrive and get PDI'd, and then go pick it up...

I'm 5909, so 1350+ cars before you. So in some respects, it could be worse
Similar to you, I'm about an hour and a half from Kerbeck. I initially assumed I'd be a January delivery and had no intention of museum delivery, btu when I got a 10/25 TPW, I excitedly switched, thinking I'd have it early November and some time to enjoy before winter. In hindsight, I could have picked it up from Kerbeck last week, but nothing I can do about it now, and I'm still excited about the trip, seeing the museum, doing the track, etc.
Hopefully you can enjoy the peripheral stuff too whenever you do get yours.

Spoke to the dealer on Wednesday and they confirmed it was in GA, checked the MM status sheet this morning (as it was just updated) and it shows me at 5000 as of Friday (11/26). I "would of" picked it up earlier, but I held off mailing payment till I was certain it was on the back of the truck en route. So I took the day off for Friday to drive down south and will be there first thing in the am to pick it up.
I hope everything goes well this week for the rest of the guys on that Damn forever Hold..

You are fortunate to have chosen CD. I only chose them (vs. Kerbeck/Ciocca) to save the paperwork charges on our deal, which included what we planned on doing anyway -- R8C. As plant closings delayed things over the summer, and MM's allocations seemed to come up a bit short, by the time we did the order in late September I asked about CD, which seemed to make sense at that point. Unfortunately, MM has no CD dealers around here; seems 350 miles is too close to them!
I love the Museum and I am sure R8C is great, but at times like this where things can go south in a hurry for any number of reasons, seems far better to just sit back and wait for your car to show up. Patience required, but easy-peasy. We were making a mini-vacation out of this, but not particularly festive at this point. And to think I paid an extra grand for the hassle....

I don’t think the Museum folks are the people you need to slam. Lori and Shane have been nothing but outstanding. They are busy folks and I can guarantee you they are trying to get an answer for you. Take a breath and chill.

So where did I slam them? I agree with you. In fact, I just got off the phone with Lori and learned just how completely the plant keeps the Museum in the dark about things like these QC holds.
My point was, given how tenuous supply chains are, and the lack of openness on the part of the plant, it really makes little sense for a mid-Atlantic buyer, with lots of other scheduled activities/obligations, to do Museum Delivery during the winter months -- particularly if you've already seen the Museum a few times...
Hey feel lucky! My C8 was produced on 10/28 and it is still there! I was told last Wednesday it would ship.
This is crazy mine is not as crazy as yours. Mine was built 11/10 #6525 and still sets in QC HOLD. I saw where vin number 8xxx was shipped and I am happy for him. What is crazy is that Chevrolet will not let anyone know what is going on,, or when they will ship. I have been a Ford guy most of my life, since the late 70s and early 80s after two Chevy trucks rusted out from under me. I decided to give them another chance when I saw this new c8 corvette, and now that has been a fiasco. Couldn’t get any help out of Chevrolet with the rust then, and can’t get any help out of them now. All I am asking them to do is be honest with the customers and let them know what is going on. Maybe it is bad wheels maybe it is vandalized wheels, maybe something else. You know the old saying the customer is always right, just let us know. I have contacted the dealer, Chevy chat, Chevy concierge, and the museum, and have been told nothing better than I am on hold.
