Received an email from Shane stating that mine is bayed as well waiting on shipment, so it didn't ship out yesterday after all. At least it is finally off of QC hold, so I guess that's a plus - but still playing the waiting game for 5+ weeks now.

Yes, I'm still here, waiting for the news of your car deliveries. In the meantime, here are some stats:
(Before the long wait for those that have been in a holding pattern)

just got off phone with dealer who said my car is expected to be loaded on transport tomorrow 12/11 with expected delivery on 12/17 however he believes it may be a couple days earlier than that based on his experience.

He also mentioned they were all instructed not to enable Onstar any more because someone auto started their vehicle while on a delivery truck and burnt down the lot of C8s on the truck. Interesting!

I’ll report back but put me down as 5000 as of tomorrow.

Must be that truckload of C8s that burned down a few weeks back. I see that as entirely plausible.

Just got an email from my dealer saying that although he doesn't have a shipping notice yet he can see my car moving from BG to the dealer on his freight view system. Holy cow Batman is this really happening? I hope I can pick it up before next weekend, because our schedule after that is packed.

For Dave O, MacCrash, and Jharch that had their cars built before me but are still waiting I know this isn't fair and I hope you get your cars ASAP. I wish GM would have delivered all of our cars in the order of our VIN's. We've all waited a long time and having them delivered out of order after they were built was like a gut punch. I've got my fingers crossed that Dave O finds an extra truck to the West Coast and MacCrash and Jharch get what they need to get their cars delivered ASAP.

Trying to think about how that could happen? Plastic cover melted/caught on fire? Feels so unlikely, but who knows.

Thanks for the kind words. I think mine is in the same camp as yours. That is, my dealer doesn't have a shipping notice yet but I feel it is moving as yesterday Chevy chat said I am at 4200 and the Corvette Concierge said I'm at 6000 - vehicle delivered to customer. So all I can surmise is that the database the Corvette Concierge was looking at showed 6000 because it has in fact shipped and since I have already paid for it the status code automatically jumped to 6000. Bottom line, I think, and am hoping, that the car has in fact shipped!!!

Life continues as a forgotten stepchild. Checked today and still on hold per NCM. MM has even removed my order from their list of orders as of today, 12/10 update. It’s disappointing when the car is paid for, titled and registered and the vehicle is still on QC hold at the factory. I’ve now joined the five week wait club. GM should have never invoiced the vehicle before the vehicle is available to be released from the factory.

I checked with MacMulkin on their tracking spreadsheet today as all of us with an 11/25 TPW were removed with the latest update. They stated there is an issue with the spreadsheet and he has written a ticket to have it repaired. So don't feel as if you have been erased.

As far as the rest goes, it really does suck to be us. I most likely won't get my car until next year as I don't believe Intercity will be making another trip out west until after the holidays. And you are 100% correct about the invoice. As of yesterday it has been 5 weeks since I paid for the car in full. On the bright side, it appears as if there is finally movement on the forever hold club.

Godspeed to all those affected by the tornadoes in KY. The aerial footage looks horrible. Like Dan O, I have only experience with earthquakes on the west and hurricanes on the east coast. Twisters are a whole different kind of evil.

Dave O, Astro and the few others waiting for shipment. Please post here if any of you learn anything about your vehicle’s condition given then tragic events in Bowling Green. Mine was supposed to be loaded on the delivery truck today but I’m almost certain it wasn’t.

Given everything that’s occurred since my allocation, I’m starting to think it might be best for me to simply bury my head in the sand and wait for the dealership to call me.

Today has been a very strange day indeed. It goes without saying that my thoughts and prayers go out to all of those in Kentucky affected by this tragedy.

If you haven't been following my story I found out earlier this week that mine had finally been released from QC hold after 5 weeks due to the wheel issue. On Thursday Chevy Chat said I was at status 4200 and Corvette Concierge said I was at 6000 - both of which gave me hope it had shipped. However, MM as of yesterday said they showed it hadn't yet shipped.

I wake up this morning and hear of the tornado. Besides feeling for all involved and hoping for the best for all of them and their families, I wonder about the condition of my car - especially since I have already paid for it as well as having registered it. So I call MM this morning and they tell me it still shows status 4000 and they have received no notice from Jack Cooper Trucking (JCT) that they had possession of it. I'm a bit bummed at this point. About 4 hours later I get a call from MM. They said they received a notice from JCT that they had picked up my car. I asked them if there was anyway to track it and they looked it up on VIN tracker (FYI he stated the JCT website doesn't track cars anymore even though the website doesn't state this). I then heard him say "that's weird, hey Jake take a look at this". He then went on to say that he can see where the truck had left BGA, traveled north, turned around and went back to BGA and is still sitting there. He has no idea why the truck did this. My mind is in a whirlwind at this point thinking of all possible scenarios. I'll check in tomorrow to see if the truck has moved but I don't think they travel on Sundays - so I most likely will have to wait till Monday. I'll post something here when I hear something. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My dealer said JCT stopped providing tracking due to crazy folks like us.

Yeah I read the same thing, I was just wondering if any of you with a car that has shipped had entered their vin number on jack cooper’s web site to see if it worked. When I enter mine it says it hasn’t shipped yet.

I don’t know about the rest of the QC hold gang, but I’m getting pretty close to the end of what I’m willing to take to get a car. I’ll find out tomorrow if my car made it out of BGA before the storm. If it didn’t and has to go back into hold to get repaired, I’m out. I’ll just wait a few years until it’s possible to buy a car off the lot again.

Edited to add: since I’m sure someone is going to come in here and say how dare I think of a car right now…Yes, of course I empathize with the situation, and yes, it would be terrible to deal with that if I was a bowling green citizen, but guess what, it’s possible to think about two things at once. I do, however, of course acknowledge that my issue is peanuts compared to what they’re going through.

Very well said everything in the world doesn’t have to be ignored just because of a tragedy, life moves on. It is a given that we are all thinking of the ones who are hurting. Talking about another topic doesn’t mean we are not thinking about the ones who are hurting. I live in Kentucky and know a person who was killed, and that s awful for them and their family, and my prayers are with them.

Truly sorry to hear about your friend. I used to live in the Midwest and lost a friend’s parent the same way, it’s a terrible call to receive.

Seesaw of thoughts for us remaining few waiting to take delivery this week.

Was our damaged? - it appears the strongest damage missed the lot of completed cars on the other side of the factory however with debris rising as high as 30,000 feet in the air, anything is possible in terms of nicks and dents.

With the factory closed for this week, does this mean cars slated for pick up will also be delayed from pick up? Does this mean no one reports to the factory? From a logistics point of view, if cars weren’t damaged, it would seem like a good time to get the backlog of completed cars off the lot before they ramp up production again.

I wonder how busy Shane will be today and truly how much information he will be able to relay to folks.

I scoured more footage of the damage in KY last night and it’s unreal how bad Mayfield got crushed.
