Now if the truck to the West Coast come true it will be great! So glad that things are working out.

I've got to give a shout out to Aaron at Classic Chevy in Sugarland, I picked up my C8 today and it was totally professional. I was worried about some of the horror stories you hear about on line, but everything was as expected (MSRP) and no surprises. Truly an awesome experience (and that was before I even started the drive home when it only got better!)

He was so good to work with, and he even put on the Santa hat my wife brought along for when I got the keys.

A little optimistic speculation on the Doowopbob and Dave O entries as they have reported scheduled deliveries. Fingers crossed for the remaining deliveries and repair (Cbus C8).

Currently I am in first place for the longest duration from 4000-5000!!! Do I get a prize if I ultimately win? Just kidding. I hope it arrives at the dealer today. Keeping my fingers crossed that it does arrive and is damage free.

Update: I’m officially at status 5000. My car arrived at the dealership damage free. I don’t know for sure, but I’m fairly certain it was picked up shortly before the storm. The car will be delivered from the dealership, but for all intents and purposes I should be able to be considered 6000 status tomorrow, 12/16.

Sorry to hear about this. I thought I would be the last of the Mohicans but I got word from MM that my car did in fact arrive there today. They set up OnStar so I can now see where it is at etc. Only 4 miles on it, which is good. Hopefully they will be sending me some pics tomorrow. But the bad news is that it is highly unlikely Intercity will be able to deliver it this year. Will most likely have to wait until after the holidays.

Man, after what you've been through, I would fly out tomorrow and start the drive home. I wouldn't risk one more chance for logistics to keep the car from you!

Edit: Oh geez, just saw where you live. You literally picked the dealership as far away as possible, huh?

Yeah, 3000 miles in the dead of winter is a bridge too far. MM needs to move to the middle of the US.

I’m mostly joking, but it’s no where near dead of winter. Was like 57 degrees today in PA. If you had 3-4 days to see the country, you could easily get the car from NH to Carolinas in a day. Then stay south to get across the country and you’d probably be fine. Would make for a fun trip and great story!

We've had temps in the 80's this week in Houston, and expect pretty much the 70's all next week. I agree with PColasanto. Dave O you should go for it! Once you get a little south you would be home free. Based on my 95 miles so far it would be a great road car, and others with a lot more miles say the same thing

Just glad to hear that the car is safe and in good shape.

With the luck I've had to date, I'd hit a hailstorm with golf ball sized hail, followed by a locust infestation, then a herd of cows jumping out in front of me followed by the horrendous rainstorms we have been having in CA as of late. I think I'll wait for the truck.

probably a reasonable decision in the face of hail, locusts, cows and rain. 😂

Too late to change now. That has to be selected before submitting your order. And yes, I did consider it as I have taken this route before. Decided to go the Intercity route this time around.
