My understanding is they get a Consensus for the month and then the allocations get handed down 2X per month on a Thursday! Example for my dealer, they just had their monthly Consensus on Thursday, October 7th and were told they will receive 2 allocations for the month of October. A week later, tomorrow, one of the two, or both will drop into the system and the dealer can then match a customer to the allocation.
Hope this helps,

This mirrors what my dealer said as well. They got the consensus last Thursday and said my order would go in on one of the next 2 order cycles so that likely means either 10/14 or 10/21. He said they only got 1 allocation so hopefully tomorrow will be the day.

I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day as well. My dealer historically got 1 allocation per month, so he was pleased that he got 2 for this Oct consensus. Good luck to you, I assume you are next in line at your dealer?

I called this dealer on 9/22. Said I was interested but that was it. They said I was #1 if one came up. They texted me last Thursday, 10/7 and said they had an allocation for one. I'm paying a very small ADM($700) but that is okay if they are being truthful and I get an order actually placed. I will give them a deposit likely next week to make sure no funny business. I might have gotten pretty lucky on this one.
Directly from post #17; "Getting excited and feel very fortunate, as I first met with my local dealer who sells at MSRP on May 14th of this year, so getting on the list until allocation has been just shy of 5 months!"

That’s great…for you 😂😂😂 Seriously, happy things worked out that way for you. I obviously picked the wrong dealership. It looks like the big Corvette dealers are getting people cars in 6-8 months now. I’ll probably get one faster from them than I will the clowns I’m dealing with now.
I was actually going to try another dealership around here but no one will tell me how many customers they have waiting or any idea how many cars they are averaging a month. They all just expect you to give them a deposit without any information.

I guess I am fortunate to have a small town dealer here that is very transparent with everything. I was just about to send my deposit into one of the big three and before I did, went to my dealer to talk to them about accepting a courtesy delivery for me. In talking with the sales manager, I asked how many were on his list for a 2022. He said five, but they were all for Z06 cars. So, that's when I got my name on his list. Good luck to you on getting your allocation!
Update; As my dealer communicated on Oct 7th, consensus day for the month, my allocation could drop into the system today, Oct 14. Well, he was right on the money, he called first thing this morning and said "Come On Down!" I just got back and my order is now solidified, in the system and the order sheet now states "Order Accepted!"
FYI, I first met with my dealer on May 14th, 2021 and today October 14th my allocation was matched. 5 months from getting on the list to accepted order. I'm really glad I am able to purchase locally and support our local economy. And, I am getting the car quicker than ANY of the big dealers could have delivered!!

Great to hear. Was the dealer able to give you a print out of the order showing "order accepted" I assume this means event code 2000 now. Likley will go to 3000 next Wednesday. I hope my dealer also go my allocation this morning. The GM is off today so I will know tomorrow. If so, will be stoked as the process with this dealer started 9/22/21 so in 3 weeks I went from calling them to inquire about wait lists and allocations to getting one but proof will be when I get the order accepted as you did.

Yes, he printed out the order that shows everything including the MSRP, Order Accepted and Sold Order!
Then just for fun, I went to the Chevy.com site and clicked the "chat" button where you can ask for order status by your order number and it confirmed status 2000 and next week should update to status 3000;
"Thank you so much, Garry. I have located your order number and can see that your vehicle is at the Event Description 2000 - Accepted by GM. This status means that your order has been paired with allocation by your dealer and the factory is in the process of ensuring it is a buildable order. Once approved, it will progress to the 3000 status - Accepted by Production Control by the end of the week and will remain at that status until production approaches on your vehicle. We recommend reaching out every 2-3 weeks for updates once your order progresses to the 3000 status - Accepted by Production Control."
@DH9441 and @shsirish and @Valhalla , do any of you want to enter (or tell me) your dealer on the spreadsheet? It’s the last column, so you might not have noticed it.

I missed it. Can you update my entry with Rick Hendrick Duluth (Atl)? I'm supposed to go to 2000 on Tuesday. TY, for doing the spreadsheet.
All of us that went Event Code 2000 on 10/14, it will be interesting to see if we will all go 3000 on the same day, or how this will play out. I find myself checking the virtual assistant on Chevrolet.com quite often. If they track it, they prolly see a pest or two me thinks!
